Polston is a really fun upcoming QB with a ton of raw potential and upside. First things first, his frame is fantastic. He’s already standing at 6’2″ and 185lbs as an incoming freshman. With that size and height, he didn’t lose any athleticism. He can run and make good things happen with his legs. He’s got really long strides and eats up a ton of yardage in a flash. He’s quick enough to get the corner and fight for some extra yards. If he hits the open field, he’s got more than enough speed to make it a house call as well. As long as he is, he’s an incredible athlete who is great on his feet and improvising when things go South. I do think there’s some work to be done in the passing game and his footwork, but as young as he is, he’s in good shape. He’s got his entire High School career to continue developing and improving in the small categories he’ll be in a great place. He’s got a decent arm and can sling it fairly easily. As he gets stronger, that arm is going to get bigger which is a really exciting thing to think of. Polston is also decent throwing on the run and isn’t afraid to throw it to where nobody is and give his guy a chance. Accuracy is decent but could be better, and likely will improve. When you watch Polston, you can’t help but be very excited long-term. His ability to create and make something out of nothing, his frame, and his ability to lead when things get rough really set him apart from most QBs his age and big things are in store for him.
Aiden (AJ) Jobe – Brownsburg – RB/WR – 6’0″ 180 – 2026
Jobe is a ton of fun to watch because of his big playmaking ability. When he touches the ball, he’s genuinely a threat to score. He’s a smaller back with great speed and is fairly nifty while being hard to tackle because of how slippery he is. If he gets the corner or sees even a glimpse of the open field, he’s going to put his foot in the ground, make a cut, and hit the gas. He’s got great speed and can continue to accelerate when most hit their top speed. He’s also got fantastic vision and is able to weave through traffic while picking up every inch possible. He’s also shown he’s decent out of the backfield and can be a good receiver. If he’s not lined up in the backfield, he’ll line up in the slot and make plays there. However, where Jobe could make a living is in the screen game. He’s patient enough to stay behind his line. With his smaller frame and size, he’s harder to see and can get lost in the traffic until he shoots out the other side on his way to the endzone. If he’s able to develop in blitz pickup, there’s a chance he could be used in some capacity this fall. He’s good with the ball in his hands and good in space. If not, he’ll light it up on the JV squad for a year while developing. Jobe is a dynamic recruit who is going to be making plays for Brownsburg for quite some time. The best part is he’s just getting started and has 4 years to develop into an elite college prospect.
Carac Johnson Carac Johnson 6'0" | 200 lbs | LB Reitz Memorial | 2023 State IN – Reitz Memorial – MLB/FB – 6’0″ 200lbs – 2023
Johnson is the exact type of guy college programs look for. A blue-collar player who isn’t afraid to hit or be hit, does everything he can to win, and lays everything he’s got on the line. Johnson gives everything he’s got when he’s on the field and I genuinely appreciate his effort. Down after down, you get the same guy regardless of his assignment. He can drop back in coverage, come blitzing, or stay in the box and pick up the open alley and make the tackle. Whatever is needed, Johnson has shown the versatility to move around and make the play. While there are times in man coverage he can get caught looking, he’s not bad overall. In zone, he’s fairly good and has shown the ability to react quick enough to make the pick. Overall, he’s fairly disciplined which is why he’s almost always in the right place at the right time to make the play. While he’s not the fastest LB, he’s got the speed to cover sideline to sideline and won’t have an issue with range at the next level. His feet never stop moving and he can properly come to balance to make the play when needed. He feels like the type of recruit who comes in and gets to know the system, develops some in the weight room, and then turns into a Starter for his program. Guys like Johnson make football go round and he’ll have no issue finding a home at the next level.
Tyler Dikos Tyler Dikos 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Westfield | 2023 State IN – Westfield – MLB – 6’1″ 220lbs – 2023
Dikos is someone I should have had on the list and ranked a long time ago. Starting these rankings from the ground up, it takes time to find everyone and get it done right. As soon as I flipped on Dikos’s tape I knew it took way too long. He’s a tackling machine who was one of the state leaders in tackles for a reason. The reason for this is quite simple. He’s a fantastic athlete, has a special ability to sniff out plays, and has the speed and power to go with a well-built frame. Dikos plays with the angry flip switched and when he sees the ball, he’s going for it. Whether it’s a tackle, strip attempt, or picking it off he’s going to make the play. He’s got some of the best closing speed you’ll see and once he commits to something he sees on the field, there’s no going back. The best part is how often he’s right. He regularly cuts plays shorts and eliminates a potential big gain. He’s really hard to bait and is really disciplined, especially for someone still in High School. His ability to process what’s going on in front of him is what gives him such a great advantage. Dikos can play anywhere on the field you need him to. He’s good in both types of coverages and has the speed and athleticism to run with just about anyone. He even lines up in the slot from time to time. He’s physical and has no issue playing in the box and plugging gaps or being the one who gets to blitz and get home. Dikos can hit and hit hard. There are a ton of examples shooting out of a cannon while legally laying out a ball carrier coming right for him. His success has been earned and he works as hard as anyone you can imagine. His future is as bright as he wants it to be and this fall is only going to show his progress. He’s one of the best LBs in the state and is going to have another chance this fall to show out before he goes to the college level.
