This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We’re here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Pt. 3 of our New Additions to the 24’ Rankings.
George Dimopoulos Twitter
Mr. Dimopoulos takes his snaps on the outside where he’s not afraid to go up for 50/50 balls to play above the rim and high points the ball when going up for those contested catches. If you’re looking for a playmaking receiver that can swing momentum in your favor with big plays, look no further. This young man can also use his foot quicks off the line of scrimmage to win over the top on fade routes and fade routes even in double coverage. Keep an eye on his ability to adjust last second as well. Overall, look for this young man to have a breakout season and have his stock rise as a result of his production. I’m very much looking forward to seeing more of his potential come to light and how he produces this fall.
Nick Wong Nick Wong 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Maine South | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Wong mainly lines up in the slot but can also work on the outside as well. This young man flashes his ability to adjust last second showcasing his body control to secure contested catches downfield when he runs a seam route. He isn’t afraid to secure the catch in the middle of the field and flashes his ability to make defenders miss in open space utilizing his jump cuts. Overall, his shiftiness and agility are one to keep an eye on heading into this fall season. Keep an eye on his ability to get vertical quickly once he secures the catch, showcases glimpses of it in his sophomore season highlights where he can break a long run when doing so.
Gage Leffler Gage Leffler 6'2" | 185 lbs | DL Plainfield Central | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Leffler works out of a 7 tech where he continues working through the whistle, even if it seems he’s not going to make a play on the ball. By doing so, it results in him coming away with second effort sacks as well as securing tackles for little to no gain when he’s in pursuit flat down the line of scrimmage. Two traits he flashes are his ability to close quickly on the ball carrier and being able to slip blocks in run support to disrupt plays in the backfield – both of which you need to keep an eye on heading into the fall season. Overall, this young man has the skillset in place to have his stock rise after a productive fall season. I wouldn’t be surprised if you hear his name in the papers for game recaps throughout the season either.
Donovan Anderson Donovan Anderson 6'4" | 170 lbs | WR Minooka | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Anderson is quick off the line of scrimmage which he uses to his advantage to close space on the corner playing in off coverage to gain a step and win over the top on deep shots downfield. This young man flashes his ability to track the ball well on corner routes, work back toward the ball, and find the soft spot in zone coverage. He can very well have a breakout season this fall with solid production and putting the ball into his hands as he’s set up to take over for Standouts Trevor Hudak and Malik Armstrong.
Kendric Muhammad Kendric Muhammad 6'0" | 245 lbs | DL Plainfield East | 2024 IL
Mr. Muhammad works out as a 1 tech that has active hands at the point of attack which he utilizes to get through the A gap to disrupt plays in the backfield. In his pass rush, he can use his bull rush to drive the center back before closing on the quarterback quickly generating pressure. In run support, he holds the A gap control well and plays with good leverage when doing so. This young man also fires off the ball to give him an edge at the point of attack. Overall, with a full season of production under his belt look for his untapped potential to come to light.
