This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We’re here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Pt. 11 of our New Additions to the 24’ Rankings.
Erik Timbo Erik Timbo 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL DePaul College Prep | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Timbo stands at 6’4 250 where he can wash the defensive lineman down, hook block on outside zone runs, and finishes the play by driving his feet through the whistle. This all happens with his aggressiveness at the point of attack after he fires off the ball using a strong punch at the point of attack to jolt the defender and get his hands inside. Overall, this young man’s skill set currently leaning more toward a run blocking lineman and I’m interested to see how his pass protection skill set is showcased this fall.
Detterace Dotson Detterace Dotson 5'7" | RB Rockford East | 2024 IL
Mr. Dotson is a wingback that has the lateral quickness to turn the corner as he’s agile to not only change direction but also change his gears quickly with his foot quicks. Currently, this young man can get you a solid 4 to 5 yards per carry when he stretches the field horizontally and flashes his ability to gain chunk yards during inside the tackle runs. He’s also used in the return game. Overall, this young man is more of an E/W style runner over an N/S one and is mainly used on outside the tackle runs.
Paul Frazer Paul Frazer 5'11" | 160 lbs | WR Marian Catholic | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Frazer is an outside receiver that runs jet sweeps flashing his lateral quickness to turn the corner. Here, he has the ability to break long runs once he finds an alley using his foot quicks to gain a step on the 2nd level defenders. There isn’t much film of him running routes, rather it’s of him running jet sweeps. With that being said, he could very well be a solid halfback if need be at the next level and I’m interested to see how his route running fairs this fall.
Isaiah Payton Isaiah Payton 5'11" | 185 lbs | LB Bishop McNarma | 2024 IL
Mr. Payton is an inside linebacker that flashes his ability to trigger downhill in close space to secure the tackle at the line of scrimmage and flows to the ball well. When doing so, he flashes his ability to disengage the run block before securing the tackle for no/little gain on the play. This young man is used as a force player at times and can be put at defensive end to utilize his speed rush off the edge to generate pressure on the quarterback. Overall, I’m interested to see how this young man produces this fall and how much of his potential comes to light as a result.
Griffin Buehler Griffin Buehler 5'9" | 165 lbs | WR Crystal Lake Central | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Buehler can line up both in the backfield as well as in the slot as a receiver. When he’s in the backfield, he flashes his foot quicks to get through the line of scrimmage and is able to gain a step on the 2nd level defenders using his foot quicks. This young man can also catch swing routes out of the backfield where he can get vertical once he secures the catch breaking long runs for six at times. When he’s in the slot, he’s not afraid to go up for 50/50 balls to secure the contested catch on deep shots downfield. Overall, he’s an interesting prospect to keep an eye on this fall as he can very well see his stock rise with solid production.
