This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We’re here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let’s take a look at Pt. 10 of our New Additions to the 24’ Rankings.
Logan Brasfield Logan Brasfield 6'4" | 260 lbs | OL Yorkville | 2024 State IL Twitter
Mr. Brasfield can wash the defensive lineman down when he down blocks by winning at the point of attack and keeping his feet driving through the white. When he’s pulling, he’s a lead blocker through the B gap where he picks up the defender getting hands inside tieing up the 2nd level defender to create a hole for his tail back to get through to gain net positive yards on the play. In pass protection, he showcases his ability to anchor at the point of attack absorbing the bull rush to keep the pocket clean for his quarterback. Overall, this young man has a good frame standing at 6’4 260. Also has potential as a guard and could potentially be bumped out to the tackle position at the next level.
Juron Whiting Juron Whiting 5'7" | 170 lbs | RB Plainfield South | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Whiting is a tailback that flashes his foot quicks through the line of scrimmage and his vision to find the alley to get through quickly both on inside as well as outside the tackle runs. This young man is more of a shifter type of runner as he can weave in/out of defenders in open space and flashes his elusiveness as well. Overall, he has a mix of JV & Varsity highlights below showcasing his skillset. I’m very interested to see how his skill set transitions full time to the Varsity level and how much of his untapped potential comes to light as a result.
Joseph Garcia Joseph Garcia 6'0" | 220 lbs | LB Marian Catholic | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Garcia is a linebacker that flashes his ability to trigger downhill quickly in close space where he meets the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage for no gain on the play. He also flashes his ability to take the run block head on where he can jolt the run blocker upright before disengaging to secure the tackle near the line of scrimmage. Overall, this young man is currently more of a run stopper linebacker with the skill set he flashes below.
Conor Dennis Twitter
Mr. Dennis is a quarterback that can drive off his back foot when in platform, can get the ball out quickly in the quick game, and flashes his ability to add easy velocity across all level throws (level 1, level 2, and level 3 throws). When he runs RPOs he can get the ball out quickly and if he runs the option he has foot quicks to find an alley before breaking a long run in the process. This all happens with the foot quicks he has to gain a step on the 2nd level defenders where, at times, he goes for six. Overall, this young man is more of a dual-threat quarterback that can make his impact felt in both offensive attacks.
Henry Paddock Henry Paddock 6'3" | 215 lbs | OL Mascoutah | 2024 IL Twitter
Mr. Paddock is an offensive tackle that square pulls to pick up the 2nd level block and when he does he has a strong punch putting the linebacker on their backs in the process. What’s impressive about this young man is how he can block in open space in the screen game picking up either the outside linebacker or cornerback creating an alley for the ball carrier. This young man also flashes his ability to wash the defensive lineman down and mirror the rushing defender in pass protection tieing up the defender at the point of attack. Overall, keep an eye on this young man as he could very well get bumped inside at the next level to the guard position where his skill set would transition well.
