Our PrepRedzone Illinois Class of 23' Rankings just got updated after hours of film analysis and adding new young men to the rankings. This is going to be a long series of new additions to our rankings to make sure that each young man is highlighted. That being said, there are P5 caliber recruits down to D3/JUCO recruits. The moral of the story, each of these young men did the work and deserved a spot in our rankings. We're here to highlight their hard work. Without further ado, let's take a look at Pt. 3 of our New Additions to the 23' Rankings.

Take a look at the FULL 23' Rankings Here!

[player_tooltip player_id='364771' first='Brian' last='Stanton'] Twitter

Mr. Stanton is a halfback that has the lateral quickness to turn the corner on outside the tackle runs where he then can use his foot quicks to break long runs for six as seen in the first few clips in his highlights below. This young man can weave in/out of defenders in open space to avoid tackles and outrun pursuit angles. Let's not forget his ability to keep his feet driving through weak grab tackles. So much so that there's one clip in his highlights where the defender has a hold of his jersey and he's able to break a long run for six after breaking multiple weak grab tackles. Overall, this young man is a hard runner that I'm going to be keeping an eye on this fall.

https://twitter.com/brian9stanton/status/1525585122510118914?s=20u0026t=EMYCjr2JnlRUadvFTFcQOQ

[player_tooltip player_id='363893' first='Derrion' last='Jordan'] Twitter

Mr. Jordan is a halfback that showcases his foot quicks through the line of scrimmage as he can hit the holes hard with his jump cuts and can then work through traffic. What I'm interested to see out of this young man is his ability to break long runs on a more consistent basis as he has flashes the skill set to do so. Currently, he's a halfback that can keep you ahead of the sticks. Switching gears to the air attack, this young man is used in the screen game and flashes his ability to go up for 50/50 balls where he comes down with the contested catch. I'm very interested to see how much of his untapped potential comes to light this fall season.

https://twitter.com/Derrionjordan3/status/1512958327952715777?s=20u0026t=NegyxudPyLUz4-VxfBh6kQ

[player_tooltip player_id='363865' first='Armani' last='Mcferren'] Twitter

Mr. Mcferren is a halfback that has the ability to make the first defender miss in open space and can weave in/out of defenders once he clears the line of scrimmage. This young man also has the vision to find the running lanes quickly between the tackles and uses his foot quicks to burst through the line of scrimmage. What I'm interested to see more out of this young man is his threat in the air attack as he flashes his ability to high point the ball while securing the catch. Overall, keep an eye on the threat this young man can pose in the air attack and his foot quicks through the hole.

https://twitter.com/armani_mcferren/status/1488218923342381057?s=20u0026t=4mQ8LTDnt-ampCGZBvhcZA

[player_tooltip player_id='364866' first='Jack' last='Oberhofer'] Twitter

Mr. Oberhofer is an inside linebacker that triggers downhill quickly in close space to disrupt plays in the backfield and at the line of scrimmage. What stands out about this young man is his ability to fill holes in run support well and his ability to close on the ball carrier quickly to secure open field tackles. He's also a hard runner when he gets the ball on offense and keeps his feet driving through contact. Overall, his attacking playstyle on defense is one to keep an eye on.

https://twitter.com/JackOberhofer/status/1462628809052594181?s=20u0026t=_ADMFZKcTc9YYhUBOLn_7Q

[player_tooltip player_id='363746' first='Robbie' last='Spang'] Twitter

Mr. Spang is a quarterback that makes his mark in both offensive attacks. He can stand strong in the pocket to get the ball off under pressure as there's a defender in his face and can extend plays when working on the move where he then keeps his eyes downfield to find an outlet to keep the chains moving. If nothing is open downfield, this young man can pull the ball down to scramble as he turns on the jets and is gone using his foot quicks. This young man also flashes his ability to get the ball out quickly when running RPOs as well as adding a touch on the deep ball. Overall, keep a close eye on this dual-threat quarterback this fall season as he's going to cause defensive coordinator's headaches.

https://twitter.com/RobbieSpang/status/1491218651449815040?s=20u0026t=AjtgpHOD539ovMpWxr_lYQ

[player_tooltip player_id='363792' first='EJ' last='Hosty'] Twitter Highlights

Mr. Hosty is a quarterback that has the arm strength to make level three throws on deep shots downfield and can add zip on the ball. This young man flashes his ability to stand strong in the pocket and getting the ball out quickly in the quick game. What I'm interested to see out of this young man this fall is how he produces with his quick/compact release and a full season at the helm. Overall, I wouldn't be surprised if this young man puts on a show and sees his stock rise as a result.

Be sure to follow @PRZJordan regarding news & information for Illinois High School Football as well as @PrepRedzoneIL.

Want to be ranked?
