He is the No. 16 ranked offensive lineman in the state according to the Prep Redzone rankings.

Mater Dei Catholic (Chula Vista) athlete Surahz Buncom Surahz Buncom 6'4" | 175 lbs | DB Mater Dei Catholic | 2023 State CA announced his commitment to Kansas on Saturday.
Buncom had a team-high 9 touchdown catches last season and is 6-foot-4 with track level speed.
His final five schools included Colorado, Duke, Kansas, Oregon and Oregon State.
Buncom is the first player from California in Kansas’ 2023 recruiting class and the third overall player.

Loyola (Los Angeles) class of 2023 receiver Baylin Brooks announced his commitment to San Diego State on Saturday.
Brooks had 39 catches for 549 yards and seven touchdowns for Loyola last season. He has very good body control and can make plays after the catch.
He chose San Diego State over Arizona, Nevada, Portland State and San Jose State. He is the fourth player from California in San Diego State’s 2023 recruiting class.

Monrovia receiver Carlos Hernandez announced his commitment to Washington State last week.
Hernandez caught 71 passes for 1,594 yards and 23 touchdowns last season which always landed him on the top performers of the week list.
He chose Washington State over seven other schools that offered him including Fresno State, Northern Arizona, Oregon State and Utah State.
Hernandez is the only player from California in Washington State’s 2023 recruiting class and the fourth overall player.

St. John Bosco class of 2024 running back Chauncey Sylvester Chauncey Sylvester 5'11" | 190 lbs | RB St. John Bosco | 2024 State CA had a great showing at a camp at the University of Arizona this weekend.
Sylvester won the fastest man race and has been offered by the Wildcats.
He was one of the top performing running backs at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in January and figures to be a bigger part of Bosco’s offense this season.
