[player_tooltip player_id="340027" first="Zach" last="Sims"] 6’3 185 QB
Though Sims is a sophomore, he has some solid experience due to getting some snaps the previous year. With prototypical size, Sims also has a smooth and fluid throwing motion alongside a quick release. While showing great accuracy in the quick game, Sims seems to always get incredible velocity on his throws. Demonstrates an ability to win with touch and ball placement. Lastly and most importantly, he showed tremendous poise when facing pressure. Sims’ ability to look down the barrel of the gun and still deliver dimes will be crucial for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id="240436" first="Stanton" last="Ramil"] 6’7 310 OT
Ramil is a towering tackle whose strength and competitive nature solidifies the offensive line. With iron sharpening iron Ramil shows he’s been going head up with some of the best pass rushers the country has to offer in practice for years. (Jeremiah Alexander last year and [player_tooltip player_id="125529" first="Peter" last="Woods"] this year) His technique and competitive drive make him one of the state’s most sought out offensive linemen. In the run game, he shows extreme power and use of his 300+ pound frame. He has elite grip strength and can steer opposing linemen out of the play. Also is highly effective in pass protection. Ramil has solid footwork and can mirror rushers, win with solid strikes to break rushers’ momentum, and strength to push guys off their angles.

[player_tooltip player_id="125529" first="Peter" last="Woods"] 6’4 240 DE/DT
Woods is returning as a 5-star blue chip capable of anchoring a defense. Woods shows the ability to affect the game from the interior and exterior with consistency and strength. As an interior rusher, he welcomes contact and uses his frame to dominate the opposing lineman. Speed to power, bull rushes, rips, and shreds are all tools Woods has in his bag. Shows excellent motor when stopping the run or getting at the QB. Though he is powerful, Woods is highly nuanced with using his hands and can bend the corner - making him An elite edge rusher.

[player_tooltip player_id="125520" first="Tony" last="Mitchell"] 6’2 180 CB
As a 6-2 cornerback, Mitchell is an elite playmaker who would be a 5-star recruit at any position within the secondary. With next-level size and skill, Mitchell will be pivotal in writing another chapter in Thompson’s dynasty. As a cover corner, he excels in both zone and man coverage. He flashes his football IQ in zone coverage and plays well in situational football. He can read QB’s eyes, recognize route patterns, and drive on the ball to mitigate gains after the catch. With length, strength, and smooth footwork, he can be physical with bump and run coverage, minimize throwing windows and play through the hands to get deflections. This physicality is also shown when supporting the run game. Mitchell is more than willing to seal the edge, get off the block to contain perimeter runs, and make plays on ball carriers in traffic.
