<p class="p1"><span class="s1">In football, everything is undeniably always won or lost in the trenches. The game innately always starts and ends upfront with the Offensive Line.</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">The state of Texas has a huge number of talented Offensive Line groups that are returning next fall. You can look almost anywhere across the talent-rich</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> state and find dominant units. The few highlighted below are some of the first that </span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">collectively stand out to me the most going into next fall.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span class="s1">South Oak Cliff High School </span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The South Oak Cliff’s Offensive Line room is filled with talent and is looking poised to build off of their historic</span><span class="s1"> run last year. The returning 5A State champions are led up front</span><span class="s1"> by 6’5 360 pounds viral sensation and TCU commit <strong>Brione Brooks. </strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">What set them apart in the playoffs last year was their ability to control the line of scrimmage and physically overwhelm defensive fronts at the point of attack. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Top returners </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Brione Brooks</strong> - 6’5, 360 lbs - TCU Commit - Class of 2023- He’s a ton for any defensive line to try to handle and will be leading the Bears upfront this year.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Narado Mike Stoker</strong> - 6’6, 310 lbs - SMU Commit - Class of 2023</span></p>
He’s a long athletic prospect that does a good job finishing in the run game, huge pick up for SMU.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Jaden Rowe</strong> -6’3 290 lbs - Class of 2024 - Offers GA Tech , Nebraska </span></p>
A big bodied 2024 prospect that has all of the makings of a national recruit.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Jordan Rowe</strong> - 6’3 290 lbs - Class of 2024 - Offers GA Tech, Nebraska </span></p>
Another big bodied prospect just like his brother he has the potential to become a top national recruit.
<p class="p1"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span class="s1">Westlake High School </span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Westlake high was hands down one of the most physical and dominant programs in the state last fall. This go round they are transitioning to a new head coach and quarterback but they have a stable of talented big men returning up front to lead the way. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The University at Westlake is the high school program’s nickname to many fans around the state like myself. Is it impressive how they have consistently reloaded on talent year in and year out. </span><span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">This fall the Chaparral’s are led by All American </span><strong style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">T.J. Shanahan</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"> and poised for a big year and another state championship run.</span></p>

One of the most physically dominant guys in the state last fall and will be leading the charge to repeat at states.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Tyler Knape</strong>- 6’4 270 lbs- Class of 2024</span></p>
young versatile guy that has the range to stay at tackle in college but will more then likely shift inside to the interior at the next level.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Kyle Natenstedt</strong>- 6’1 270 lbs- Class of 2023</span></p>
Kyle is a returnee who is coming off some great experience last fall and is looking to build on top of his two state championship rings.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>TJ Christen</strong> - 6’0 250 lbs -Class of 2023</span></p>
He’s a talented prospect who doubles as a king snapper along with playing offensive line.
<p class="p1"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong><span class="s1">Duncanville High School </span></strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Under Head Coach Reginald Samples Duncanville High School has produced some elite division one talent on the offensive line. They are returning a bevy of talented and division one-caliber guys led by scrappy Seniors <strong>Noah Ponce.</strong></span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">They are playing in one of the most competitive conferences in the state and will need to bring their A-game to put the program on their back and help their legendary head Coach climb the state championship mountain. </span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">This year’s group looks like they have the intangibles and depth needed to make a run a deep playoff run. It will be interesting to see if they can mesh and become a championship unit.</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Benjamin Whitfield</strong> - 6’5 275 lbs- Offers TCU, UH Offers - Class of 2023</span></p>
He has one of the most technically sound and smooth pass sets in his class, he has recently blown up over the summer and will look to prove himself even more this fall.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Noah Ponce</strong> - 6’1 265 lbs - Class of 2023 A shorter prospect with built in leverage that allows him to get under guys and win at the point of attack.</span></p>
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong> Josiah Drake</strong> - 6’3 275 lbs - Class of 2023</span></p>
He is a talented prospect with a ton of potential and it will be interesting to see how his development plays out.
<p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Noah Stanley<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></strong>- 6’5 305 -Class of 2023- Visiting UT & UH next month</span></p>
A international import from Canada, Noah has moved to Duncanville, Texas for his Senior year of High school. He is also scheduled to take unofficial visits to the University of Texas and the University of Houston in the upcoming months.
