Included is a small town running back who is one of the most underrated players in the state, an under-the-radar defensive tackle in Amarillo, and a stud pass rusher in Llano.
RB Jayden Jones – 5’9″ 192 / Yoakum HS — @JaydenJones2023
Junior Stats: 185 carries – 1,846 yards – 24 touchdowns. 168 yards per game.
One of the most under-recruited running backs in the state, Jones is the complete package. Smooth hips, strong enough to break arm tackles, and elite speed to pull away from defenders in the open field. Excellent vision and cut-back ability. Averaged 10 yards per carry as a junior, and all signs point to an even better senior season.
If you’re looking for a game-changer in the backfield, you found him. No offers yet.

DT Triston Moore – 6’3″ 285 / Amarillo Palo Duro HS — @TristonMoore95
Moore is a strong defensive tackle that gets a lot of push in the run game and moves well laterally. He consistently gets inside hand placement and can split double teams with ease. On film, seems to want to arm tackle a lot, but there’s certainly a lot to like about the lineman from the panhandle. Triston is the kind of player who’s stock will start to rise as his senior season gets underway.

OL Ross Edwards – 6’3″ 275 / Llano HS
Edwards is a physical, blue collar offensive lineman with nice footwork. He plays to the whistle and really makes the most of every rep. Plays a lot of tackle for the Jackets, but will need to move inside at the next level. Has a tendency to drop his head in the run games at times and can sometimes overextend, but is definitely worth an offer from a small college program looking for a developmental, high upside guard.
Currently has no offers.

EDGE Jaxon Rhea – 6’1″ 215 / Llano HS
Rhea is lightning quick at the snap with a motor that doesn’t stop. Has a nice dip ’n rip that he uses to blow by offensive tackles and punish quarterbacks. Consistently gets linemen to overextend, and is very sound against the run. He’s a hard-hitter who never takes a play off. I don’t see any offers yet. If you’re looking to add a highly productive, relentless pass rusher to your 2023 class, make a trip to Llano this fall.

OLB Kaleb Cox – 6’1″ 190 / Shallowater HS
Junior Stats: 70 tackles, 7 TFL, 4 QB Hurries, 3 interceptions, 3 pass breakups, 3 forced fumbles
One look at the above stats, and you can tell that Kaleb Cox is a really good football player. Also lines up at running back, but his college future is most certainly at outside linebacker. He excels when dropping back in pass coverage, and can also pin his ears back and disrupt the passer. Leads the defense for the Class 3A Mustangs, a 10-3 team from a season ago. Proven leader who knows how to win.
