As we begin a big two months of college camps, here we look at the prospects who have seen their recruitments pick up after a busy offseason and head into the camp scene with their stock status on high.
Everything can change with recruiting but these guys have done well this offseason to push their stocks up and put themselves on the map as legit college prospects.

- A new name to the state of Tennessee, Brown has yet to take a snap for his Mustangs team but he already has a good name for himself, especially with the addition of several D1 football offers. Brown is a big guy with a big arm that looks the part of a pro-style quarterback on the next level and someone that should continue to pick up steam on the recruiting trail as the next few months come along. His physical traits, arm talent and football knowledge are key traits in what college coaches look for but he still needs to show what he is worth this summer in camps and especially this Fall during his senior season.
At this point in his recruitment, Brown has obtained offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Ky, Illinois, Liberty, Minnesota, Pittsburgh and UT Martin. He also has strong interest from several Power Five and D1 programs across the country that might be close to pulling the trigger on an offer. Brown will camp at several top level programs over the next month and I’m quite confident his offer list will expand. His stock is definitely on the rise at the moment and someone that could continue to see it rise as we head into the Fall football season.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="185570" first="J.D." last="Sherrod"] (6’1 205) - Briarcrest Christian
- Sherrod has been one of the more underrated prospects from this in-state class so far throughout this recruiting cycle but things look to be picking up finally. A dual threat quarterback with a physical body and a big right arm, Sherrod is a talented young man that has a skill set that fits very well on the next level and college coaches have started to take notice. Just this week, the Saints star signal caller landed his 1st D1 offer from Troy and that very well may be the offer that sparks bigger opportunities going forward.
Before Troy got on board, Sherrod already sported offers from Lindenwood and SE Missouri St but others are interested and could soon join the offer race for this West Tennessee quarterback. Schools like Ball St., Liberty, Wake Forest and others have been keeping tabs on Sherrod for a while and now with his 1st D1 offer in hand, these bigger schools might finally be close to pulling the trigger. His stock is hot right now and I expect it to only rise over the next few months and make Sherrod a marked man.
#PRZTN Ranking: 79th Overall Position Ranking: 7th Ranked QB
3. [player_tooltip player_id="102210" first="Ryan" last="Damron"] (6’0 195) - Henry Co.

- The stock for this Middle Tennessee quarterback has been steady for almost two years now but Damron could finally be seeing that stock rise to a level where college programs are ready to get on board with his upside and potential on the next level. Damron is a consistent performer with clean mechanics and improved arm strength to push it deep down the field. He is also a good athlete that maneuvers the pocket very well and has those leadership qualities that push his teammates to victories. Damron is well worth every look he has gotten or will get and personally, his stock while on the rise is still under the radar but hopefully not for long.
So far throughout his recruitment, Damron has seen things go up and down with Kentucky and Ole Miss offering early in the process but those offers may not be in play at the moment. He does however hold committable offers at the moment from Eastern Ky, Samford and Murray St. with several other FCS, D1 programs showing interest. This current college camp season could be big for Damron. If he performs well, his offer sheet could expand and eventually place himself among the top 10 quarterbacks in this state for the 2023 class.

- Last year as a junior was a breakout party for this Knights signal caller and it has translated to the offseason where Walton has picked up multiple FCS offers with many others showing interest. His stock took a sudden spike this spring when college coaches began to look deeper into his film and started to see the upside with Walton’s size and arm talent. He is still an unfinished product that needs more development with both his body and arm but the potential is there to become an efficient gunslinger on the collegiate level.
Jumping into his recruitment, Walton has received offers thus far from Austin Peay, Eastern Ky, Lindenwood, North Alabama and UT-Martin but his sheet could be increased very soon as many other schools are very interested. These next two months will be big on the camp scene for Walton as he looks to impress coaches in person and prove to them his abilities and upside for the college gridiron. After watching plenty of film myself on the Knights passer, I think his best football days are ahead of him as he continues to mature and grow as well as simply put more playing time behind center.

- Tate is an interesting talent that has started to pick up steam on the recruiting trail over the last few weeks when North Alabama extended him an offer and solidified himself as a bonafide FCS prospect. The Red Devils senior signal caller is one of the hardest workers around in this state and dedicated himself this past offseason to develop further his mechanics and overall passing which in turn has boosted his recruiting stock. Tate is a smooth thrower that showed this spring to place the ball on time while also showing the strength to push it down field. Those traits play up on the next level and the great thing is that Tate is far from a finished product, so there is strong upside.
These next several months with the college camps and Fall football season will be big for Tate when it comes to adding more interest and offers. The potential is there as Tate has plenty of room to grow his frame while also adding more strength to his right arm, so watching college coaches become more interested is not surprising. If he continues on the trajectory that he is currently on, I expect many others to get involved with this Memphis area quarterback.
