As we head into the summer we take a look at Oregon’s fastest rising athletes for the class of 2024. The rankings will be updated shortly with the individuals referenced below looking to make a jump on the board.
*NO PARTICULAR ORDER
[player_tooltip player_id="278369" first="Devin" last="Brooks"] 6-4 300 T Clackamas- Brooks now ranks as one of the top lineman in the nation and could very well be listed as the #1 recruit in Oregon for the 2024 class. Offers from the likes of Oregon, Washington, Cal, Arizona St, and Miami speak to his upside.
[player_tooltip player_id="152363" first="Nolen" last="Scott"] 6-1 175 ATH Sherwood- The overwhelming favorite for Pacific Conference POY honors in my opinion. Scott already comes in ranked my #10 overall recruit but I think he is special, possessing unquestioned D1 ability. Expect him to have an unreal Junior campaign.
[player_tooltip player_id="152339" first="Jayden" last="Fortier"] 6-5 210 TE Tualatin- Maybe Oregon’s breakout junior of the year. As most know Fortier has been injured over the last few years, but he has more than looked the part this off season. He will make a significant jump on the rankings board, projecting as a double digit offer D1 athlete.
[player_tooltip player_id="152333" first="Lonnie" last="Burt"] 6-1 190 RB/LB Jesuit- Most aren’t aware of Burt yet but he is the real deal. He played out of position on defense and split carries with two other talented backs, with [player_tooltip player_id="205822" first="Payton" last="Roth"] returning. He should be considered one of the top Juniors in Oregon and someone who can play at the D1 level on either side of the football.
[player_tooltip player_id="152360" first="Gabe" last="Staszak"] 6-5 220 DE South Medford- Staszak is long and looked incredibly impressive on the camp circuit recently. His 41 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks as a Sophomore, compliment what he brings to the table specific to size and overall athleticism.
[player_tooltip player_id="152335" first="Liam" last="Cassidy"] 6-5 300 DT Jesuit- UNLV came in early with Cassidy’s first offer and there will be many more. He earned 1st team all league honors as a sophomore and you can’t teach the size. It will come down to game film and what type of mobility he shows moving forward.
[player_tooltip player_id="152332" first="Ethan" last="Biondine"] 6-0 220 LB/RB Lakeridge- I don’t know how much Biondine is going to jump on the rankings board, but he projects as a D1 LB and could very well be among the state leaders in rushing yards. With the departure of Jake Reichle I could see Biondine being a 20+ TD back this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="278371" first="Ryder" last="Swanson"] 6-3 220 OLB Oregon City- The Pioneers return double digit all conference athletes and could be Oregon’s surprise team of 2022. Swanson earned 2nd team all TRL honors as a sophomore, with film that puts him in the conversation as one of the top defenders in the state for his class.
[player_tooltip player_id="152336" first="Gus" last="Donnerberg"] 6-4 200 TE/OLB West Linn- Both Donnerberg’s are legit with brother Wiley already listed towards the top of the charts. Expect numerous D1s to extend offers with multiple PAC 12s getting in the mix in the coming months. Gus has great size and overall athleticism that is tough to match.
[player_tooltip player_id="207256" first="Tyler" last="Konold"] 6-0 190 RB/DB Canby- Watch Konold’s film and you see a kid who was dominant as a Sophomore. His 1st team all state honors and 11.4 yards per rush average speak to his game. As good as he is offensively I could see him excelling on D at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="278385" first="Nick" last="Sakys"] 6-2 205 QB West Linn- Sakys looked outstanding as a sophomore in limited time, hitting on 68% of his passes 32/47, with 5 TDs and 3 INTs. The transfer of 3* QB [player_tooltip player_id="110171" first="Sam" last="Leavitt"] to West Linn obviously changes things, but he should be considered one of the top QBs in Oregon for his class regardless.
[player_tooltip player_id="152347" first="Hatimu" last="Letisi"] 6-0 250 DE/OLB South Salem- Letisi will make a nice jump on the rankings board simply by being listed on the defensive side of the ball. He is physically gifted but undersized from a projection standpoint on the line. He was an MVP at the PRZ prospect tour event in Oregon and is hands down one of the top defensive athletes in the state.
[player_tooltip player_id="206872" first="Stephen" last="Del Giudice"] 6-5 265 T West Linn- Del Giudice made the move from Grant and should be considered one of the top lineman in Oregon. He combos his size and overall athleticism nicely and will be a multi offer D1 kid.
Pierce Walker 5-10 170 ATH McNary- Walker played varsity ball as a sophomore but didn’t necessarily get the notoriety. Look for that to change this year as he should be one of the top players in the Central Valley Conference.
[player_tooltip player_id="152351" first="Jaylan" last="Moore"] 5-9 165 CB Sherwood- Moore was listed as a 3* athlete by 247. An impressive ranking this early on. He will be tested going up against non PIL competition after making the move from Jeff.
