In this article, we will take a look at a trio of running backs with no offers yet, and a pair of talented seniors in New Boston who are very much under the radar.
RB Jeremiah Drayton – 5’9″ 170 / Queen City HS — @JeremiahDrayto5
35″ vertical and 10.6 in the 100m. Drayton is a spark plug who wins footraces and gets into the end zone. A huge part of the Bulldogs’ offense, he’s a threat to run for 150 yards any given Friday night. He may never become a between-the-tackles thumper at the college level, but Jeremiah is an electric athlete that could find himself getting a lot of recruiting interest throughout his senior season.

RB Isaias Dominguez – 5’9″ 175 / Perryton HS
Junior Stats: 1,089 yards and 15 touchdowns
Dominguez can accelerate from 0 to 60 in the blink of an eye. He is a decisive, downhill runner who doesn’t do a lot of dancing in the backfield. When running between the tackles, is patient enough to wait for his blocks to develop. The phrase ’slow to, fast through’ comes to mind when watching Isaias run the football. I don’t see him anywhere on social media, but am certain his name will become known as the fall season gets underway. Coming off a disappointing 4-8 campaign a season ago, the Rangers will rely heavily on the senior to lead them to a playoff berth.
Currently has no offers.

RB Konlyn Anderson – 5’11″ 195 / Brownwood HS — @KonlynA
Junior Stats: 1,880 yards and 20 touchdowns
One look at Anderson’s stats, and you know that he’s a workhorse RB who can produce. Very durable player who gets downhill and rattles off big play after big play. Has enough speed to pull away on long runs, and isn’t afraid to lower his shoulder and fight for extra yardage. Would be a great addition to a small college’s running back room.

CB Demetrius McChester – 6’0″ 160 / New Boston HS — @DemetriusMcChe2
McChester plays CB in a run-heavy district, so there is not a lot of tape of him on an island with receivers. However, in the few clips of him in man coverage, you will see a smooth athlete who can flip his hips and stay with just about anyone. Does a nice job of getting his head around and making a play on the football. In the run game is where he excels. He sheds blockers on the perimeter and makes nice tackles in the open field. Very nice prospect.

G Jayden West – 6’4″ 275 / New Boston HS
West is a man amongst boys in Class 3A, Division II. Physically overpowers defensive linemen at the point of attack, gets out in open space as a puller, and paves the way for the Lions’ run game. I would like to see him be a bit more aggressive at the snap, but West displays some serious athleticism that coaches will love (see the play @ 2:55 in his highlight).
