We looked far and wide to find some of the most undervalued wide receivers in Michigan. This article focuses on the top rising senior wideouts without a division one scholarship. That could change here quickly via the summer camp circuit or by putting together a monster senior campaign on the field.

Dorijan Jackson, 5’9" N/A, East Lansing
An explosive prospect that can eat up corners & safeties cushions. Jackson is a deadly returner with outstanding vision and superb change of direction. He’s a terrific deep-ball tracker who can run under just about any throw downfield.

[player_tooltip player_id="240757" first="Triston" last="Nichols"], 6’3" 200, De La Salle
A long strider with noticeable build-up speed once he gets going. Nichols is a YAC machine who can easily navigate his way through traffic. He’s a sleek route runner who has no issues defeating press coverage and is extremely effective as a redzone threat.

[player_tooltip player_id="241259" first="Bryce" last="Kurncz"], 6’2" 175, DeWitt
A sure-handed outside receiver who catches everything thrown within the framework of his body. He’s rarely brought down by the first defender, calmly sidestepping tacklers who took a poor angle to the ball. Bryce is creative after the catch and can turn a five-yard quick game concept into a fifteen-yard chunk play.

[player_tooltip player_id="119697" first="Donovan" last="Weatherly"], 6’1" 180, L’Anse Creuse
A tough pass-catcher who can go get the 50/50 ball. Donovan has a strong lower half, barreling through arm tackle attempts with little to no effort. He shows sudden hands and just straight-up silly body control.

Zarek Zelinski, 6’3" 205, Waterford Kettering
Zarek plucks the football out of the air and can make his quarterback right on poorly thrown balls. This is a concise route runner who does a good job mixing up his tempo to lull defenders to sleep. He’s a possession-type receiver who can sink his hips and stop on a dime & work back to the football.

Brandon Lewis, 5’11" 170, Lansing Catholic
Lewis was a production machine in 2021, accounting for 1,730 all-purpose yards and 14 touchdowns. He’s extremely twitchy with the ball in his hands and will make defenders look silly in space. I was so impressed by how easily he can accelerate into his top gear and run away from tacklers.

Jaylin Townsend, 6’1" 160, Beecher
An absolute blazer with 10.75 100-meter speed. Townsend can turn the corner in an instant and has the burners to out-run angles. His contact balance, return deception, and ability to create separation make him someone who needs to be on college coaches’ radars.

Tyler Swick, 6’2" 175, Grosse IIe
This young man’s hands are as strong as they come. Swick is a tough kid whose willing to take a shot in-order to haul in a throw. He knows how to stem defensive backs and has a solid mixture of size & athleticism that can give opponents issues.
