Over the last few days, we have seen that the Southern Indiana Conference can boast of some top-tier offensive talent. The same rings true out on the edge, where a group of playmaking wide receivers reside.
Weston Aigner, 6’3, 185 pounds, 2023, Castle

Weston Aigner has a knack for finding space and putting the opposing secondary under pressure. Aigner is a good route-runner who knows how to run his routes and where to go to in order to get open. Aigner can be a deep threat. He does well stretching the defense and testing the safeties. Aigner showcases his playmaking ability after the catch. He turns up field immediately and finds a running-lane to create an even bigger play. Last season, Aigner accumulated 668 yards on 35 catches with eight touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id="325864" first="Leo" last="Collins"] is a consistent performer for Evansville Memorial. In his junior season, he posted 56 receptions for a total of 539 yards. Collins added half-a-dozen touchdown receptions, as well. Collins is a player on the rise. Proving this is the step forward that he took in these departments from when he was a sophomore to last year. Over that stretch, he improved his receiving yards tally by 159 yards. Collins upped his reception total by 18 catches. The best is yet to come for [player_tooltip player_id="325864" first="Leo" last="Collins"].

Only a junior this upcoming fall, [player_tooltip player_id="322434" first="Amari" last="Hope"] has already shown a lot, and he has plenty of upside, as well. Hope is an exciting player, especially when he has the ball in his hands. He is dangerous on screens. He can read his blocks well and get up field. Hope is great whenever he can get the ball in space. This makes him particularly dangerous after the catch. He can elude tacklers, meaning that multiple defenders will have to get to the ball quickly to make sure that he does not rip off a big gain. Hope caught 45 passes last year for 518 yards and five touchdowns.

[player_tooltip player_id="290469" first="Roland" last="Vera Jr"]. is a speedy playmaker who can contribute on both sides of the ball. Vera is a great underneath receiver, especially when he is the target of screen passes. Defensively, Vera can help keep the opposing passing-game at bay at safety. He does a good job of reading the eyes of the quarterback. Vera is instinctive. He knows where to be to make the play. His impact carries over to special teams, as well, where Vera is a solid kickoff returner. Last season, Vera tallied 481 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. Defensively, he recorded 61 tackles with three interceptions and one fumble recovery. Vera returned 19 kickoffs for 221 yards. He also returned eight punts for a total of 98 yards.
Ethan Stolz, 5’9, 135 pounds, 2023, Evansville Mater Dei
Evansville Mater Dei’s Ethan Stolz enjoyed a productive junior season. Now, he stands on the cusp of a breakout senior campaign. Last season, Stolz caught 34 passes. He racked up 479 receiving yards in the process. Add in six touchdowns to those stats and you see why Ethan Stolz can be a big-time prospect next season. Scouts should keep an eye on what Stolz does in the fall.

[player_tooltip player_id="322411" first="Antonio" last="Harris"] is an emerging prospect for Castle who will be a junior this upcoming season. A year ago, Harris provided significant contributions for the Castle offense. He caught 31 passes for 459 yards. Harris tacked on five touchdowns in his sophomore season. There is a lot of potential for [player_tooltip player_id="322411" first="Antonio" last="Harris"]. There is a great chance that we will be hearing from him often next season.
