We have some rattlers here who have been doing their thing in 7v7s and some guys who, after another look, deserve some more praise! Some of the names may be familiar but hopefully these are guys who you may be new to who are expected to do some big things next season.
Tyler Hutcherson Tyler Hutcherson 5'10" | 150 lbs | DB Aldine Eisenhower | 2023 TX – Aldine Eisenhower
5’11″ – 170lbs
After missing last season due to injury, you know Hutcherson is coming back determined to impact the game. He has been putting in work to elevate his game this offseason and looks to be back to his lockdown ways. Hutcherson had an outstanding sophomore year that made him a top young name to talk about, and now we get to see a more experienced, versatile, and hungrier player hit the field. He will make people remember who he is no doubt.
Tayshawn Wilson

Wilson
5'9" | 170 lbs | DB
Mayde Creek | 2023
State
TX
– Mayde Creek
5’9″ – 180lbs
Wilson has been a hot name this offseason hitting up camps and racking up the attention. A solid corner with a physical nature, Wilson makes his money in press. He shows good hips and reacts well to the ball in the air and is a tackling machine. Wilson is an athlete who will get the job done and because of that, he is one of the top defensive backs in the state.
Johnathan Hall Johnathan Hall 6'1" | 200 lbs | DB Katy | 2023 State TX – Katy
6’1″ – 200lbs
Hall had himself an eye popping season last year and has been very active on the recruiting trail this offseason. Hall’s combination of size and quickness made him a player to standout on the field. At the safety spot he covered much ground in the secondary and showed very good speed coming downhill. Hall is a “popper” who plays well both in the box and in space. He is without a doubt making a name for himself and will continue to do so.
Jaylon Braxton Jaylon Braxton 6'0" | 170 lbs | DB Frisco Lone Star | 2023 State TX – Lone Star
6’0″ – 175lbs
The Michigan State commit will be seeing his name rise in the ranks as he continues to develop his already dominate game. Braxton is a quick read and react player who plays with great instincts and decisiveness. At the corner position, Braxton shows a crazy ability to recognize plays and routes and his awareness is through the roof. Last season those skills were on display and to think that he has gotten better is scary for opponents. Braxton is a top notch player who can very easily make the jump into the top 10 defensive backs in the state.
Ted Gilmore – Coronado
5’9″ – 180lbs
Gilmore played like a madman last season. Hair on fire, all out to the ball safety who was lightning quick to the ball. Gilmore was incredible on reads, watching a guard pull and attacking to make the play. He was a ballhawk who looked to dislodge the ball with his thumping hits. Gilmore is a skilled defensive back who shows great versatility who will definitely make some more noise in the rankings.
