Huge thanks to Brent Williams and the entire NextGen staff for having me out at the Show representing Prep Redzone. The camp was well-run as usual and helped each prospect in attendance show off what they are capable of. I was able to capture that while in attendance. Here are some prospect’s whose performances stood out to me from this past weekend’s The Show event by NextGen.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="281264" first="Caleb" last="Jacob"] | 5’6, 140 | DB/ATH | West Chester Rustin | 2025</strong></em></span>
<span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="164602" first="Colin" last="Riley"] | 6’0, 252 | DL/OL | West Chester Rustin | 2024</strong></em></span>
Rustin is a school I hope to continue to cover in the future, I was very pleased to see two WC Rustin kids at this event representing PA. Both prospects, Jacob and Riley are underclassmen who are rightly working on their development and thankfully seeing something come out of it. Happy to see Jacob receive an invite out of the staff at the event. The young man is a constant worker and frequent camper. I don’t care what your measurables say or list you as, if you are willing to work on your craft, invest in yourself and keep learning, you will develop into a productive football player down the line. Jacob is on his way. Development in the weight room will be crucial to his future. Jacob held his own at this event, happy to see it.
Speaking of measurables, happy to see tangible growth out of Riley. Looked visibly bigger and I mean this in the best of ways. We listed [player_tooltip player_id="164602" first="Colin" last="Riley"] at 5’11, 230 pounds at the time of his ranking this past December. Riley has grown an inch, now listing at 6’0 at the event, while also adding 20 pounds of good weight. All of this while still moving well at the event. Not a sloppy 20 pound gain. Exciting news, same goes for his recent invite to a Notre Dame camp this June. Riley showed off some great lower body strength and agility in individual drills, while also winning his fair share of 1-on-1 reps as well. You will never get the best out of Riley in any camp setting, his total package and game is best suited for the Fall, where he can show off his attitude and motor when it counts. I do hope that his persistence in the off-season helps with his recruitment further along in his young career, the young man is a worker. Can’t wait to have him at our camp on May 22nd.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="264254" first="Zion" last="Brake"] | 6’1, 150 | QB | Bethlehem Catholic | 2025</strong></span></em>
[player_tooltip player_id="264254" first="Zion" last="Brake"] is another frequent camper and incredibly hard worker much like the two above. I have had the pleasure of watching this young man grow for a year and some change now, he too has grown in stature. Now listed at 6’1, 150 pounds, Brake is starting to fill out his frame a tad bit more each time I see him. That’ll do wonders for his stock down the line. As far as the camp, Brake continues to look more and more confident after each camp. Still plenty of things to work on, but there isn’t a freshman QB in the country who doesn’t have areas to improve in. I want to see consistency out of the young man. Here are some solid throws on the run out of Brake. Hoping to also see him at our camp on May 22nd.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="209185" first="Marquez" last="Wimberly"] | 5’10, 170 | ATH/RB | Parkland | 2026</strong></span></em>
Finally got to see Wimberly in action. Not quite the perfect setting to really show off his ability at both RB and DB but I was still able to see the young man work through drills, test and run routes. Smooth on his feet, can glide after cutting. Great balance shown when going through individuals. You can see the ankle bend and body control when Wimberly runs his routes. I know the kid can put up a better overall performance than he did last weekend. Was still great to watch the kid move and go through the camp. I hope to see his abilities at defensive back in the near future. Good to get his feet wet on the site as well. We project Wimberly to be one of the better 2026 prospects in the state early on.
