New players emerged in the latest update, and plenty of Georgia quarterbacks can be found towards the top of the latest rankings. Here are some quarterbacks who have seen their stock rise in recent weeks and in the latest 2024 Prep Redzone Georgia Rankings.
Jakhari Williams – First Presbyterian Day
Arguably thee top young QB in Middle Georgia, the Macon native is one of the most physically gifted passers in the area at 6-foot-3 190-pounds who is full of potential. Ranked as the No. 2 QB and the No. 25 overall prospect in Georgia Williams shows good footwork for his age, impressive arm strength, and chucks the ball deep down the field as well as anyone in the area. His ability to throw accurately on the run is something you don’t see often from young sophomore quarterbacks. He’s mobile, feels the pockets, and can hurt defenses when he takes off. He does a good job of buying time in the pocket to allow his receivers to get open. When they do, he knows how to deliver a strike down the field. It’s easy to see his dynamic playmaking ability, and he’s only going to get better as he develops as a passer. He’s another young quarterback with D1 talent, and it’s only a matter of time before his recruitment starts to take off. He’s earned recent offers from Virginia Tech, Boston College, Purdue, among others.
Aaron Philo Aaron Philo 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Prince Avenue Christian | 2024 State GA – Prince Avenue Christian
Already known as one of the top young QBs in the state, Philo had some big shoes to fill this year as he tried to replace former All-American Brock Vandagriff, but the 6-foot-2 175-pounder more than held his own this year as a sophomore, leading the state in passing for the 2024 class. Philo was extremely productive, and showed he can sling the football down the field. As a sophomore, Philo lit up the stat sheet, throwing for 4,540 yards and 47 touchdowns. The young gunslinger also rushed for 5 more touchdowns on the season, proving he can be an asset as a runner as well. Philo throws a soft, catchable ball down the field but can throw with some zip when he needs too. He shows good footwork in the pocket and throws accurately on the run. Physically, he looks the part for his age and he showed off his arm talent all season long. More importantly, he’s led the Wolverines to a 10-1 record. He has D1 arm talent and he’s bound for a gigantic season for the Wolverines in 2022. Philo is now ranked as the No. 3 QB and the No. 29 overall prospect in Georgia in the latest 2024 Rankings. He holds early offers from Central Florida and Arkansas State.
Prentiss Noland -Langston Hughes
In the Atlanta area is where you’ll find one of the strongest arms across Georgia in the 2024 class. The big 6-foot-3 gunslinger from Fairburn is coming off a great sophomore season last fall where he pushed the ball down the field and rarely turned it over, throwing for over 2,500 yards and 34 touchdowns. He played like an upperclassman last year, reading defenses and figuring out before the play where he wanted to go with the ball. He loves testing defenses down the field, and he has more than enough arm strength to deliver a big blow from anywhere on the field. A left-handed passer, Noland throws with some zip on the ball and knows how to throw on the run as well. He’s a strong pocket passer and expected to light up defenses all season as a junior in 2022. He’s ranked as the No. 5 QB in Georgia and the No. 41 overall prospect in the state in the latest 2024 Rankings. Noland currently holds offers from Auburn, Arkansas, Colorado, among others.
Judd Anderson Judd Anderson 6'6" | 215 lbs | QB Jones County | 2024 State GA – Jones County
A Middle Georgia QB with plenty of size at 6-foot-6 210-pounds, Anderson is a physically impressive quarterback who puts nice touch on the ball. He can throw it over the top of defenses and made it look easy at times last year for his Ridgeland squad. He moves well in the pocket and does a job good of squaring up his feet when throwing on the run. He throws a tight, catchable ball on fade routes and his ball placement is impressive for any sophomore quarterback. He’s a tall, leaner quarterback who can be tough to bring down by defenders. As his arm continues to get stronger, Anderson should see more D1 offers come his way. Anderson is ranked as the No. 4 QB prospect and the No. 35 overall prospect in the 2024 class.
