Top Performers –
Peyton Polk – 2023 iOL – 6’4″/300 – Haughton, LA (Haughton) –

The interior offensive lineman from the boot put on a really nice performance on Sunday. Lining up at center during the 1v1 portion, Polk, bringing a stout, physical build to him showed smooth footwork with the ability to easily mirror, nasty hands, flexible hips and big time physicality at the point of attack utilizing those mitts of his to help keep defensive lineman at bay. He just overwhelmed defensive lineman showing impressive strength in his lower and upper body and with his bend/hip flexibility is able to gain leverage even when not winning with it immediately off the snap. Also loved the easy control he was able to gain with his hands during numerous reps. Once he gets a hold of you, good luck. It didn’t matter if they were bigger defensive lineman or smaller, quicker prospects, Polk showed the ability to handle either. It was no surprise to see him leave with the OL MVP award for the event after what he displayed. Heard Baylor is showing strong interest and can see why.

Benjamin Whitfield – 2023 OT – 6’5″/280 – Duncanville, TX (Duncanville) –
Whitfield flashed throughout the camp showing the tools he brings that make him such an intriguing prospect, especially with the size and length he brings on his frame while being a knee-bender. Like he displayed at the last camp I saw him at, he showed those quick, athletic feet, big time agility and flashed pop in his hands. The reps that he won, his agility and body control that allows him to quickly re-direct to stay in front of pass rushers was fun to watch and just shows you the athlete he is at the position. His hands are still raw at this time but when they land you hear them. He did deal with some consistency issues at times with over setting or stopping his feet initially out of his pass set that put him in a bind. With the talent, frame and upside Whitfield brings going into his SR year, he’s a future Power 5 prospect all day long in my opinion. But with continued development to his game, could really see his recruitment blow up during his SR year. He just sat behind two SR offensive tackles last year that signed with Florida State and Texas so now he will get his opportunity to shine and put it all on film this year. Since this camp he has already picked up offers from Arkansas State and Sam Houston State, so the stock is already rising.
Nice recovery right here from 2023 @Duncanville_Fb OT @d1_whitfield16, then runs him out the club. @Select50Sports pic.twitter.com/Mcq1JqWTG2

Other Notables –
Aidan Lynch – 2024 OT – 6’6″/260 – Flanders, NJ (Mount Olive) –
Before the camp started I was informed that Lynch had flown down to this camp because he wanted to test his ability against pass rushers from the state of Texas. Love that competitive mindset and the want to face talented competition and Lynch showed he could hold his own vs the competition in attendance on Sunday. At 6’7″/265 he brings a long and lean build on his frame with length on those arms and flexible hips. He showed the ability to use his length and nimble feet to cut off the corner and mirror pass rushers. flashing solid balance in his base as well. With two years left to go for him he will just need to continue to fill out his frame and to put in the work in the weight room to gain more strength. Will be interesting to see how he develops moving forward but he is one to pay attention to moving forward as he is already starting to generate buzz up north from programs like Rutgers and UConn.
Javian Harper – 2024 iOL – 6’4″/280 – Tyler, TX (John Tyler) –
Clocking a 5.2 40 at 6’4″/280 was a quick way to grab my attention by Harper at the event. I also clocked him at a 1.76 10-yard split on my own clock. But it was honestly how smooth he ran form wise that really stood out to me during his 40. During the 1v1 portion he took reps at tackle, guard and center but could see he felt more at home when he kicked inside to offensive guard in tighter quarters where he could utilize his size and strength. He is still raw technique wise but like the canvas that is there to work with especially when you mix in how well he runs at the guard position where you can get him out as a puller down field. I’ll be keeping my eye on Harper as we move forward to see how he develops during his JR year.
