DEFENSE
[player_tooltip player_id="208393" first="Tyler" last="King"] DE/OLB 23’ Clackamas- One of the fastest rising prospects in Oregon was recently offered by Idaho. The 6-5 235 rusher comes hard and quick off the edge, much like Colorado bound teammate [player_tooltip player_id="28840" first="Kaden" last="Ludwick"].
[player_tooltip player_id="209499" first="Sam" last="Kline"] LB/ATH 24’ Sheldon- Super stoked to see this kid. One of Oregon’s best for 2024 on both sides of the football. Averaged 10.3 yards per rush and 11.8 per catch as a freshman on 32 touches. He followed that up nicely as a sophomore with 30 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks on D.
[player_tooltip player_id="168252" first="Oliver" last="Fisher"] DE/TE 23’ Sherwood- Another athlete who projects at the D1 level. The 6-5 220-pound DE/TE is a super intriguing prospect, who earned 1st team all-conference accolades at DE and could be even better at TE, to put his overall athleticism into perspective.
[player_tooltip player_id="152360" first="Gabe" last="Staszak"] DE 24’ South Medford- The 6-6 215 pound D end is one of the top defensive players in the state for 2024 and proved that last season, making 41 total tackles, with 7 tackles for loss, and 4 sacks on the year.
[player_tooltip player_id="206771" first="Will" last="Wilson"] LB 23’ Tualatin- Wilson is one of the fastest rising recruits in all of Oregon in my opinion. He has one of the highest ceilings of any athlete statewide and someone I see as a potential D1 kid.
[player_tooltip player_id="152351" first="Jaylan" last="Moore"] DB 24’ Sherwood- One of Oregon’s top 24’s. The 3* ATH made the move to Sherwood and will make a huge impact for the Bowmen who have a shot to be one of 6As best next season.
[player_tooltip player_id="278373" first="Patrick" last="Wooley"] DL 24’ Liberty- The 6-5 350 pounder earned 1st team all-Pacific conference accolades as a Sophomore. If he continues to develop and progresses with his mobility, the sky’s the limit.
Zack Wusstig ATH 23’ Jefferson- We’ve talked about the 2A POY favorite next season recently. He earned 1st team all-conference honors on both sides of the ball, and even more importantly impressed on the 7v7 circuit against top national competition.
[player_tooltip player_id="110232" first="Brady" last="Crenshaw"] DB 23’ Lebanon- Definitely excited to see this kid. He has excelled on the 7v7 circuit as part of MVP and will be a projected 1st team 5A all state Safety.
[player_tooltip player_id="194897" first="Vaughn" last="Croxton"] LB 23’ Tigard- Croxton had a phenomenal junior campaign, earning 2nd team all TRL honors on both sides of the football. He is one of the state’s top FB’s and had a big year on D.
[player_tooltip player_id="206850" first="Luke" last="Fahner"] WLB 24’ Gresham- What will be one of the top players in the Mt Hood next season. He earned all conference honors as a Sophomore, with former pro and head coach James Allen speaking highly of him.
[player_tooltip player_id="110186" first="Colton" last="Gaffney"] OL/DL 23’ Gresham- One of the more underrated players in the state in my opinion. Look for the 6-5 dual threat lineman to have a big off season after going somewhat under the radar.
[player_tooltip player_id="263787" first="Austin" last="Goetz"] LB 23’ Tigard- One of the most athletic LBs in the Northwest. Goetz is a kid who I think could surprise some people from a recruiting standpoint and end up at a Big Sky or something similar.
Kainoa Hayes DL 6-2 230 25’ Central Catholic- Hayes could play early for the Rams and combos nicely with fellow 2025 standout [player_tooltip player_id="286686" first="Zachary" last="Davis"]. CC once again has dudes.
[player_tooltip player_id="205823" first="Henry" last="Masters"] LB 23’ Tigard- Another THS athlete who excelled as a Junior earning All TRL accolades on both sides of the football. The Tigers didn’t have their typical season in 21’ but could be one of the state’s best this year.
[player_tooltip player_id="278374" first="Blake" last="Hurley"] LB/ATH 24’ Sunset- One of the only sophomores to earn all-conference honors last season in the Metro. Hurley is ridiculously athletic with his brother [player_tooltip player_id="204564" first="Hayden" last="Hurley"] being a 1st team all league guy on both sides of the ball in 2021.
Efren Hurtado DE/OLB 24’ Prosser, WA - This kid is everywhere. He has already made huge strides after earning all-conference honors in 21’. Look for him to represent WA well.
[player_tooltip player_id="271362" first="Mason" last="Yochum"] LB 24’ Mcminnville- Most weren’t aware of Yochum before last season playing for the Grizzlies. That should change after his breakout campaign where he earned 1st team honors as a Junior.
Spencer Krussman OL/DL 23’ Glencoe- Krussman is one my sleepers and will play a huge role for the Crimson Tide this coming season. A lot of credit to coach Ian Reynoso (One of Oregon’s best) with the very versatile lineman’s development.
[player_tooltip player_id="152347" first="Hatimu" last="Letisi"] OL/DL 24’ South Salem- What will be a 4-year starter for the Saxons and one of the best to come out of South when all is said and done. From a recruiting standpoint a lot is yet to be determined but the kid can play.
[player_tooltip player_id="278392" first="Trevor" last="O’leary"] DB 24’ Glencoe- Not a lot of people know about O’Leary yet, but the all-conference DB as a sophomore is a player. Expect to see him lead at QB and play a major role with the graduation of [player_tooltip player_id="28845" first="Royce" last="Fasel"] and [player_tooltip player_id="108137" first="Zack" last="Schlottmann"].
Tommy Pempel DB/ATH 24’ Lincoln- One of the state leaders in INTs as a Sophomore. Pempel projects as one of the top players in the PIL and will get a chance to prove himself.
Pierce Walker S/ATH 24’ McNary- Walker is a sleeper. He started as a sophomore and could be one of the Valley’s best. Definitely a kid to keep an eye on.
