With that being said, let’s dive into some young buck QBs that were in attendance. Let’s dive into it!
Cole Mutchler 25′ 6’1 Maine South
Mr. Mutchler provides glimpses of his ability to add a touch on the ball putting the ball just over the head of the defensive back for his receiver to secure the catch. One trait that I’m interested in seeing develop further is his ability to lead his receiver as at times he did a good job doing so putting the ball only where his receiver could get it.
AJ Bravieri 25′ 6’3 Johnsburg Twitter
Mr. Bravieri is a young man that showcased his footwork during indy drills being able to reset and set up quickly once he slides in the pocket. He did tend to loft the ball at times while at others he was able to drive off his back foot adding extra velocity to the ball. This young man has high potential heading into his Sophomore Season Campaign.
Braylon Bower Braylon Bower 5'10" | 165 lbs | QB Huntley | 2025 IL 25′ 5’11 Huntley Twitter
Mr. Bower is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time and one that is the younger brother of Standout Boston Bower. What stands out about this young are the glimpses he showcased of adding a touch on the ball when making level 2 throws. Look to keep an eye on his development over the years.
Colton Gumino 25′ 6’1 York Twitter
Mr. Gumino was a young man that I couldn’t wait to finally get a chance to scout in person and he didn’t disappoint. From his pocket footwork to his ability to drive off his back foot to add extra velocity on the ball, this young man has high potential heading into his Sophomore Season Campaign. I’m looking forward to seeing how he produces and the show he puts on.
Owen Lansu Owen Lansu 6'2" | 175 lbs | QB Downers Grove North | 2026 State IL 26′ 6’1 Downers Grove North Twitter
Mr. Lansu is a very young QB that everyone knows about as his potential is off the charts. This young man showcased his ability to transition from sliding to turning as he changes direction to work on the move and his pocket footwork. Both of which were on par with those of the older QBs in attendance. His arm strength is one to keep an eye on as well, the glimpses he provides of mixing in touch, as well as zip on the ball during his 1 on 1 reps, was impressive to say the least.
