Our fourth installment of the Community Film Room series. Tweet your film underneath my CFR thread each week to sue your spot. This series will be for athletes who I have not previously written on in the past.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="255049" first="Dean" last="Rotter"] | 6’1, 170 | QB | Daniel Boone | 2024</strong></span></em>
Lefty quarterback out of Daniel Boone HS whose decisiveness and release time in the pocket impresses. Rotter is quick on all things snap-to-throw. Quick mental processing, quick feet with limited false steps, quick decision is made and the ball is released. Love his mindset pre-snap. Rotter sees the middle of the field well but can deliver accurate balls at all three levels. The sophomore can drop passes in a bucket outside the numbers as well, love his accuracy when going vertical. A ton of tight-window throws all over his tape. Rotter’s going to win with accuracy and timing, I expect his 60% completion percentage, in relief of Speyerer last Fall, to raise. Will turn out to be a name to know outside of Berks county.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="305115" first="Hunter" last="Leister"] | 6’1, 245 | OL/DL | Fleetwood | 2024</strong></span></em>
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="319398" first="Noah" last="Yourkawitch"] | 5’10, 275 | OL | Fleetwood | 2023</strong></span></em>
Here’s an interior linemen with guard and center capabilities. Leister’s a high-gripper who can absolutely churn the hell out of his legs. Impressive motor, consistently driving kids out of the play while working his legs to the whistle. Good amount of pancake blocks on tape. Leister displayed the ability to climb up to the second level and block his second assignment. Signs of an advanced trait that I don’t see too often out of interior linemen. Leister is on the athletic side of the OL spectrum. Good enough foot speed, good flexibility in his lower body that helps him explode out of his stance. Leister is a prospect that would succeed in a testing/combine setting.
Teammate and center for Fleetwood is [player_tooltip player_id="319398" first="Noah" last="Yourkawitch"], who’s a bit beefier than Leister. Explosive, mean linemen that is capable of driving kids 10-15+ yards off the ball. Every coach should want their linemen with attitude like this on the field, especially at center. Good hat placement on the move. Projecting to the next level, I do think Yourkawitch is light enough on his feet to be kicked to guard if need be. However I do project him to stay at center if he pursues football at the next level.
<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248650" first="TJ" last="Taylor"] | 6’0, 175 | QB | Cheltenham | 2023</strong></span></em>
Here’s a player on a team I’m familiar with, yet somehow this young man has flown under the radar on the site. Cheltenham is comfortable deploying Taylor in shotgun in a spread offense, or tight with Taylor under center. Really like his compact throwing motion. Everything is tight and clean pre-throw. Taylor’s got some quick feet in the pocket, showing that he’s almost always ready to throw. Taylor does a good job resetting his feet when moving from target to target, showing that he often matches his eyes with his feet. The kid has some touch to his throws downfield. Downfield vision is a plus, he isn’t afraid to test you deep either. A lot to like when he’s in rhythm, he’s controlled, accurate and decisive in the short to intermediate game. Taylor provides some improvisational skills as well. He can be trusted to scramble for first downs if the opportunity presents itself.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248805" first="Ben" last="Manley"] | 6’2, 220 | LB/RB | Mahanoy | 2023</strong></span></em>
Happy to see some traction beginning to build in recruiting for this young man. If Manley were playing in a more prominent league, he’d have multiple FCS offers at the very least. No worries here as his time will come. His film was a joy to breakdown. His production/stats will lead you to believe that he is a running back with LB capabilities, which of course he is. Yet studying his tape has me enamored with this kid at linebacker, where I believe he will have a future at the next level. An absolute bruiser on both sides of the ball, this kid will make his presence felt after the first snap of a game. Awesome lean, chiseled frame that moves through the trenches in a flash. Manley doesn’t play games on either side of the football. If he’s called to take a carry inside the tackles, he’s going to do it with full force like a man with his head on fire. Same can be said on defense when shooting gaps. RB reps have clearly helped develop his instincts at LBer, often shooting gaps and meeting ball carriers behind the line of scrimmage. Great timing when blitzing. Can shed with hand speed or power. Can shed and run like anyone in the state. This kid has some reps at quarterback too, ridiculously fun tape out of this fearless prospect. I could see Manley also providing safety reps at the next level. One thing that’s for sure, whoever ends up taking a chance on this kid isn’t going to regret it.

<em><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Michael Farronato | 6’0, 175 | ATH | Mt. Carmel Area | 2023</strong></span></em>
Name it and Farronato can do it. This young man exemplifies the "ATH" designation. Can align at wide receiver. Can take handoffs in the backfield. Can return punts and kicks. Can play either safety spot, displaying real closing speed in pass coverage as well as some serious hitting ability in space. Farronato is a multi-purpose weapon deployed everywhere for MCA. 74 tackles, 5 PBU’s, 1 INT, 1 sack on defense. I l like the kid at safety. Good open-field tackler, is often a flash coming downfield to lay a hit on someone. Solid pass coverage skills, he’s adept at playing through a receivers hands. I may like him on defense, however, there is a lot to like out of his offensive skillset. He’s got an unassuming build but is more than willing to lower his pad level and deliver real hits to defenders. He’s got some wiggle in him too. Coaches reading should know of this kid’s ability in Track and Field. Great javelin thrower, triple-jumper and much more.
