St. Louis University High 2024 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="125255" first="Ryan" last="Wingo"] received his first scholarship offer, from the University of Missouri, back in May of 2020 when he was still in eighth grade.
Nearly two years later, Wingo has established himself as one of the top sophomore prospects in the country and has offers from nearly every top program in the country.
Wingo added another big offer on Tuesday, already his 28th offer in two years, from the University of Oklahoma.
LEE’S SUMMIT WR PICKS UP BIG OFFER
From the moment we first watched film of Lee’s Summit 2023 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="37690" first="Joshua" last="Manning"], we knew it was a matter of time before he blew up as a high-level prospect.
Blessed with size and speed and athleticism, Manning proved in his junior season that the explosion he had showed in his track background — he finished second in the long jump at the Missouri Class 5 track and field championships as a sophomore after leaping 23 feet 6 inches – could translate to the football field. He recorded 69 catches for 900 yards and 11 touchdowns and racked up 1,194 all-purpose yards and 12 total touchdowns as a junior.
On Wednesday, Manning picked up arguably his biggest offer yet from Notre Dame.
He has previously been offered by Cal, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, Memphis, Missouri, Colorado, Illinois, Washington, Minnesota, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa State, Cincinnati, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Kansas State.
It wouldn’t surprise us if the Notre Dame offer leads to many more.
EUREKA TRIO OFFERED BY NORTHERN IOWA
The University of Northern Iowa hit the Show-Me State hard this week and three 2023 prospects from Eureka all received offers from the Panthers: offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id="103440" first="Justin" last="Selbert"], tight end [player_tooltip player_id="329814" first="Trenton" last="Groff"] and running back [player_tooltip player_id="199041" first="Kevin" last="Emmanuel"].
Selbert, a 6-4, 260-pounder, had already received offers from Indiana State and Lindenwood. It was the first offer for Groff, a 6-4, 235-pounder who made a big jump in our recent 2023 rankings update, and Emmanuel, a 5-9, 190-pounder who rushed for 1715 and 25 touchdowns last season.
LEE’S SUMMIT NORTH DUO ADD OFFERS
Lee’s Summit North defensive backs [player_tooltip player_id="262747" first="Jamir" last="Conn"] and [player_tooltip player_id="177943" first="DeAndre" last="Beasley"] both had big days on Tuesday when they picked up their first FCS scholarship offers from Northern Iowa.
MICDS’ MOORE ADDS ANOTHER
MICDS 2023 standout athlete [player_tooltip player_id="37668" first="Winston" last="Moore"] has had a busy offseason. On Tuesday, Moore added his 11th offer, from the Northern Illinois University.
Moore had a strong, and unusual, junior season. He racked up 1,468 total yards and 18 touchdowns, but his yardage was almost half and half between receiving yards and rushing yards. He caught 30 passes for 755 yards and he ran for 713 yards.
Prep Redzone has Moore projected as a wide receiver at the next level, but he offers good positional versatility with the ability to play running back or defensive back in college.
BRANCH PICKS UP BIG OFFER
Festus 2023 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id="193114" first="Arhmad" last="Branch"] had a huge junior season after coming out for football for the first time. He racked up 34 catches for 1,049 yards and 10 touchdowns and averaged 30.9 yards per catch.
Now he’s catching on as a rising Division I prospect.
Branch, who had previously received an offer from Lindenwood, picked up an offer from Northern Iowa on Tuesday.
