Clay is a solid cover corner who has a knack for always being around the ball. He had six interceptions last season and reacts well to tipped balls. My favorite part of his game is the way he flies up the field and keeps his outside containment on outside runs. He could add some some size and needs to work on his speed, but he has good football instincts and should be getting some lower level offers.
7 on two days ago. Good to be back. Had 2 interceptions with a few PBU’s @LSHS_Football pic.twitter.com/7XY4UajsS9

Corey Johnson Corey Johnson 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Bishop Amat | 2023 State CA , Bishop Amat, 2023
Johnson’s film does a good job showing off the versatility in his skill set. There are plays of him as a safety in two high sets, covering slot guys in man coverage, and even coming up and playing in the box. Johnson has been on the 7on7 and camp circuit but his biggest strength is his tackling which doesn’t show up until pads come on. He is one of the best tacklers for a defensive back in his class. He has solid closing speed and is unselfish because he will keep his containment even if it means the ball carrier cutting inside and him not making the tackle. His top end speed is a question, but his tackling and versatility make him an intriguing college prospect. Johnson has no offers yet but has been recruited by UCLA, San Diego State, Dartmouth and others.
Thank you @RivalsCamp for giving me the chance to compete against some of the top talent in SoCal this past weekend! #Undeniable #seatbeltsafety pic.twitter.com/Swbebb7p72

Rashid Mansour, Clovis North, 2023
The best part of Mansour’s film is that you can tell he spends time each week studying the tendencies of his opponents. The best plays on his film are him flying up the field to break up screens or coming up the field early to defend outside runs. He is a high-risk, high-reward player. He has good timing when deflecting passes in man coverage without drawing penalties. He is a solid tackler who tackles low and can hold the edge. Like the other guys on this list, he needs to improve his speed to attract college offers, but his preparation and instincts are something that college coaches will like.

Clayton Zentner, Norco, 2023
Zentner is a really good athlete who can hang with solid receivers in man coverage and can also return kicks. His closing speed to the ball is top notch and teams try to throw screens and short routes on Norco, but Zentner shuts it down. He tackles very low which I like and can lay hits on people. He has good hip mobility and is fluid in his movements. He has an offer from Cal Lutheran and I think he could be a really good lower level college football player. With Norco’s recent success, I am sure higher level college coaches will get more chances to see Zentner and a good senior year will benefit him.
Blessed to be named 1st Team Defense in the Big VIII!
