Included in this article is a cornerback who has the potential to blossom into a Division 1 recruit, a speedy slot receiver who should make big strides on the gridiron this season, and a small school athlete who racked up over 1,300 yards last season.
CB Arinze Ejeckam – 5’10″ 160 / Oak Ridge HS — @Arinze_Ejeckam
Elite closing speed – the first thing that comes to mind when you watch Ejeckam’s tape. A first team all-district selection from a season ago, he has the kind of burst you want to see in a cornerback. Receivers catching balls in the flat don’t stand a chance against Arinze. One look at the DK Metcalf-esque rundown on his sophomore tape and you’ll see the athleticism. If he adds 15 pounds over the next two years, he will be a Division 1 recruit.

SS Joseph Wilson – 5’11″ 185 / Oak Ridge HS — @JosephWilsonIV
Wilson is a hard-hitting downhill safety for the War Eagles who shows decent range in pass coverage. He is a fearless competitor who has a high motor and never takes a play off. Wilson is one of many young playmakers who will be heavily relied upon as Oak Ridge looks to make a playoff push, after a disappointing 2-8 season a year ago.

WR Tevian Jefferson – 5’9″ 170 / Oak Ridge HS — @TevianJefferso1
Sophomore Stats:Â 32 receptions, 383 yards, 3 touchdowns
Jefferson has all the tools to develop into a big-time wideout over the remaining two seasons of his high school career. He has the ability to turn a 7-yard route into a 40-yard gain in an instant, and shows the kind of the wiggle in the open field you want to see from a slot receiver. Look for big things from this young receiver this fall.

ATH Canon Ingram – 6’0″ 170 / Cooper HS — @Canon_Ingram
Ingram lines up at slotback and OLB for the Bulldogs. He plays with a lot of toughness and grinds out every yard possible. Flashes nice speed and has a nose for the big play on either side of the ball. He is a willing and able blocker in the run game, and I can see a move to CB at the college level. Expect a big junior season.

WR Patrick Bridges – 6’2″ 195 / Pearland HS — @_PatrickBridges
Bridges is a talented player for the Oilers. Lines up mainly at WR, but plays some DB as well. Impressive straight-line speed on vertical routes and does a nice job of getting separation when corners are playing off. Has very nice ability as a return man. Heading into his junior season, there’s a lot to like about the high ceiling and potential for Bridges to further develop into a solid recruit in 2024.
