Can Naples Get Over The Hump?

<strong>NAPLES FOOTBALL</strong><strong> 2022. </strong> <strong>Head Coach:</strong> Rick Martin <strong>2021 Record: </strong>10-1 <strong>THE GOLDEN EAGLES</strong> For 10 games to start the season, this program was unbeaten and had outscored the opposition, 495-45. Then came a second-round home playoff game against Miami Northwestern, and that same old tune was played. For years, this is a program that had won nearly 90 percent of its regular season games, only to see their season come to an end against either Miami Central or Northwestern. As the summer begins, plenty of work has been put in to ensure that something like that ends this coming year. Plenty of talent and tremendous coaching will surround this yearly powerhouse. With six shutouts last season, the defense once again will be strong – and that offense which average over 40 points per outing is still potent as a more challenging regular season awaits. With a 49-8 record over the past five seasons, the expectations will once again be very high.
