Biggest Mismatches in the MAC Red

The MAC Red is widely known for its immense talent, and this year will be no different. Each team in the Red has at least one player who changes the game. The following five players provide immense value to their team, and overall they are huge mismatches for opposing defenses/offenses. <strong>Dakota - Corey Royster</strong> One of the fastest athletes in Michigan, Cory Royster, is a dynamic athlete that will be able to do a ton for the Dakota offense. In addition to the blazing 4.36 speed, he’s good at finding holes as the play develops and making guys miss along the way with great footwork. Dakota is always one of the best teams in the state, and Royster should provide an incredible boost to their team. <strong>Chippewa Valley - [player_tooltip player_id="188009" first="Shamar" last="Heard"]</strong> An athlete most familiar with the MAC Red know about, [player_tooltip player_id="188009" first="Shamar" last="Heard"] is a blazing-fast athlete that can do it all. Line him up at RB, WR, Slot; you name it; Heard will bring his elite athleticism to it. Excited to see what he’s able to do this season. <strong>Romeo - [player_tooltip player_id="275079" first="Anthony" last="Lomakoski"]</strong> Lomakoski headlines the most elite group of LBs of any team in Michigan. This three-headed monster will dominate, and specifically, Lomakoski has been showing off during this offseason at camps along with the weight room. Romeo already had one of the best defenses in the state last season, and It’s going to be fun to see them get to work again. <strong>Stevenson - [player_tooltip player_id="248695" first="Caden" last="Bollinger"]</strong> Bollinger plays RB, LB, P, and K. This is a swiss army knife who will be integral to this Stevenson team. At the division 1 level, you’ll take any player that can give your team an edge, and Bollinger gives them an edge in his versatility, along with being a good kicker. The C/O 2024 QB has impressed many over the past several offseasons, and Crum is a guy who seems to be constantly improving. The MAC Red is no joke when it comes to defense, and if Crum can adapt well, he’ll be a nightmare for any team in the state.
