Summer is almost here, and with that comes camp season. I analyzed which 2023 LB’s could make some noise on the camp circuit and beyond this summer. These guys put together some intriguing tapes from their junior season and could see their recruiting stock rise quickly with a big summer. Here’s who you need to know!

Calvin Watson, 6’2", 210, Dakota
A good-sized will linebacker with enough speed to run up the seam with slot receivers. Wilson sees the quarterback extremely well and shows good instincts when breaking on the football. He plays physical between the tackles, will speed his feet on tackle attempts & and will use the gator roll tackle in space when out leveraged. Wilson is so comfortable in zone and won’t take the bait jumping a flat concept with an intermediate route coming behind him.

[player_tooltip player_id="243471" first="Chris" last="Reinhold"], 6’2", 210, Cadillac
An athletic outside linebacker who can easily drop to the curl/flat area and make a play on the football. Reinhold is awfully effective as a blitzer off the edge and shows terrific body control tackling in space. I was really impressed by his ability to quickly diagnose the run and close on opposing ball carriers. He’s a pretty talented running back on the offensive side on top of it all.

Cameron Fraser, 6’, 205, Chippewa Valley
A high motor mike linebacker with top-notch burst and acceleration. Fraser is a playmaking machine who practically lived in the backfield in 2021. He’s elusive at the 2nd level, slipping blocks with both his quickness and pure strength. He plays a patient brand of football, taking good angles to the ball, ensuring a runner cannot cut back on him.

Dalton DeBeau, 6’1", 220, Frankenmuth
An inside linebacker with a strong lower half and the ability to stun a ball carrier in his tracks. Dalton is an outstanding blitzer who times up his rushes well and will often come scot-free off the edge. On tape, he’s a violent tackler who looks to punish ball carriers every time they touch the ball. He’s also a division one prospect in track & field.

[player_tooltip player_id="150028" first="Cavanaugh" last="Diton"], 6’1", 225, Clarkston
A throwback who is an absolute menace playing between the tackles. Diton is constantly flying around on tape, giving opposing blockers fits with his lateral movement skills and power. He seems to be a step ahead of everyone else and is generally the first one to the ball carrier. I love his toughness and willingness to do whatever it takes to bring his opponent down.
