Freshmen through soon to be seniors are all grinding this offseason, and are ready to go crazy this fall. Let’s it started!
Clay Spaltholz Clay Spaltholz 6'2" | 280 lbs | OL South Milwaukee | 2025 State WI , ’25 OL- South Milwaukee
Lift: 385 lbs X 1 Squat
Go off young fella! Clay is one of the young dues putting in work this offseason that I have been following closely. I’m excited or his future as he has three and a half offseasons to continue to develop before he leaves this level. With numbers like this, I can only imagine what he will develop into as a senior. Athlete to watch.

Sawyer Lichtensteiger Sawyer Lichtensteiger 6'1" | 215 lbs | LB West Bend East | 2023 State WI , ’23 ATH- West Bend West
Lift: 225 lbs X 10 Power Clean
I don’t think I have ever seen this many reps from a power clean workout. You can see the determination, conditioning, raw strength, and burst as he fights through this. Sawyer’s first step burst was already his strength. It is about to get even better this fall. Know the name.

Ryan Worklan, ’23 OL- Milton
Lift: 285 lbs X 1 Bench Press
This is a new name for me, but I’m going to have to get to know it. The big man clearly has the upper body strength to get a good push in the trenches this fall. Milton has several strong athletes in their weight room. An athlete and a school to keep an eye on.

Cole Stevens Cole Stevens 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL D C Everest | 2023 State WI , ’23 OL- D.C. Everest
Lift: 185 lbs X 5 Overhead Snatch
One of the top OL in the Class of 2023 is going outside the box a little bit with this lift. We see a lot of deadlifts and power cleans, but we don’t see a ton of snatch sets. Cole is clearly developing into a special, strong athlete that is going to have several options for playing at the next level. Keep an eye on this kid.
Great day on snatch. Last rep is sadly cut out of the video. 185×5 pic.twitter.com/D3YQqd18li

Braxton Lopez, ’24 OL- Milton
Lift: 305 lbs X 3 Squat
This is a new, young OL that I wan t to dive into. He caught my eye with this lift. The lower body strength to hit 305 for 3 reps is next level. His junior season might put the Milton product on the map if his lifting has anything to say about it.

Jack Wilde Jack Wilde 6'1" | 270 lbs | OL Greendale | 2023 State WI , ’23 OL/DL- Greendale
Lift: 445 lbs X 3 Squat, 500 lbs X 1 Squat School Record for Weight Class
Another school record set this month! Jack has been grinding the past few months, and it all came together as Jack busted into the 500 lbs club that nobody else in his weight class at his school has ever been in. Greendale has pumped out talent, but Jack is the strongest. check out this kid!

Connor Calmes, ’23 ATH- Wausau West
Lift: 255 lbs X 1 Bench Press
Connor hit a new PR of 245 lbs, and then he pushed it up to 255 lbs later in the month! I’ve seen Connor getting more an more interest, and he has been putting in the work as well. Love seeing it come to ether. Excited to see how he helps Wauasu Est this fall. They have a talented team up there.

Gage Monpas, ’23 ATH- Wausau West
Lift: 225 lbs X 1 Bench Press
Welcome to the 225 lbs bench press club, Gage! We have another Wausau West member checking in. The 180 lbs WR/DB has been putting in the work to his this lift, and he did it in track season. This is a newer name for me. It seems like Wausau West has been pumping out the talent recently. I’m excited to get to a game.

Nolan Mathews Nolan Mathews 6'2" | 185 lbs | DB West De Pere | 2023 State WI , ’23 WR- West De Pere
Lift: 185 lbs X 15 Bench Press
Nolan has been getting ready for the WFCA combine held today. Haven’t seen his numbers, but it looks like he has set himself up to have a good day at the bench press. During one practice session he put up 15 reps. Good strength for a bigger target on the outside. West De Pere has a handful of athletes that are going to help make this a dangerous offense this fall.

Dylan Portz, ’25 ATH- Kettle Moraine
Lift: 375 lbs X 1 Squat
The freshman is quickly becoming a riser and breakout candidate for me this fall. This lift, his track season, and his offseason work has me excited to see what the 6’ 200 lbs athlete does on the field this fall. Kettle Moraine is going to have a talented, deep roster this fall.

Ricquone Burks, ’25 DL- Middleton
Lift: 500 lbs X 1 Squat
This is unbelievable! The FRESHMAN fought for this rep! 500 lbs is insane! That is the goals of career weight lifters. Yet here we are watching a freshman do it, and doing a good job of getting solid depth. Consider me a fan, and someone who will be watching closely this fall. This might be the most impressive lift of the month.

Ben Burgess Ben Burgess 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Baraboo | 2023 State WI , ’23 P- Baraboo
Lift: 405 lbs X 1 Squat
The #1 punter in 2023 is working on making that leg even more dangerous with a impressive 405 lbs squat. He hit excellent depth, and maintained great form throughout the lift. He did it while weighing 190 lbs. Ben is going to have strong hang time this fall if he keeps grinding this offseason.

Jacob Bonjour, ’25 DL/OL- Monona Grove
Lift: 335 lbs X 1 Squat
The freshmen continue to impress in this article! Jacob is anew name for me that I will have to dive into the tape of, but so far I can tell you a couple things I love. He is strong in his lower half, and he is a wrestler. Seeing that he is a lineman has me excited because I love linemen that wrestle. They almost always know how to play with leverage. I’ll be looking into Jacob more soon.

Jackson Mefford, ’23 OL- Middleton
Lift: 520 lbs X 1 Squat School Record
Another school record falls! The junior out of Middleton hits 420 lbs, and it has me excited. The battle for this rep was nowhere near where I thought it would be. He took the record with dominance. Middleton has some freakishly strong linemen on the roster.

Jacob Hanson, ’25 ATH- Green Bay Southwest
Lift: 405 lbs X 8 Squat
Each month Jacob impresses me with how easy he moves heavy weights. He is only a freshman, yet here he is repping out 405 lbs like it is 225 lbs. He is clearly a special athlete, and one to watch or the next several years. I can’t wait to see where his game is at this fall.
405×8 Kept it simple today and really got after it. Did the basics of heavy squats and really pushed myself and came away with a big lift. @MJ_NFLDraft @PrepRedzoneWI pic.twitter.com/Rs7htY9GfY

Levi Bolstad Levi Bolstad 5'11" | 195 lbs | LB Onalaska | 2023 State WI , ’23 LB- Onalaska
Lift: 385 lbs 6 Sets of 3 Squat
Levi spent time working on building up his muscular conditioning. 6 sets of 3 at 385 lbs will do that. Onalaska has a solid stable of talent that includes Levi. They are a team to check through because their is next level talent including Levi. His junior tape impressed me, and I’m looking for another jump this fall.

Davion Thomas Davion Thomas 6'0" | 175 lbs | WR St. Catherine's | 2023 State WI , ’23 WR- St. Catherine’s
Lift: 200 lbs X 1 Power Clean
Davion has been a receiver who thrives out in space with his quick twitch and wiggle. Expect to see that make a jump as he has hit a new PR in power clean. Loved seeing him have to fight for it a bit, but he got it in the end. His attention has been solid from the next level. Big senior year incoming.

Zander Kinsman, ’23 DL- De Pere
Lift: 425 lbs X 1 Squat
This kid is going to be expected to hold down the interior of the De Pere DL, and with lifts like this it seems like he will be up to the task. It is a beautiful lift too. Great form, perfect depth, and a smooth lift overall. Very impressive for a max rep lift. Check him out!
