These players have proven their skill level on the gridiron, and has shown playmaking ability to help their team win. Some of these players will need more training and development, while others already are at the level it takes to compete in college! We will dive in and take a look at these new and upcoming players to see why they are underrated players to watch!
Noah Long Noah Long 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Liberty Hill | 2024 State TX – 5’11 180Ibs/RB/ Liberty Hill High School
Analysis: Noah Long Noah Long 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Liberty Hill | 2024 State TX is a kid that can play! Just being a sophomore on varsity, Long has shown his vital skills on the gridiron! He is a special teams threat as well. This young man possesses good strength and decent speed for a running back of his build. He benches 265Ibs, squats 365, has a 36.5 inch vertical, and runs a 4.5 40 yard dash which is pretty good. Long possesses good vision out of the backfield and does a great job setting up his blocks! Next, he runs with physicality and is a very difficult back to bring down. In the next two years, I see him going big and making a name for himself turning the heads of scouts!
Aden Burrell- 5’11 182Ibs/DB/ Liberty Hill High School
Analysis: Aden Burrell has a very good junior season! He was 2nd Team All-District with 62 tackles, 2 fumble recoveries, 8 pass breakups, and 1 touchdown. He hits hard when he makes tackles, and makes sure he does his best to get off of stalk blocks. In man coverage, he does a good job at keeping himself in position to break up passes. In zone coverage, Burrell does an excellent job at staying discipline and staying in his zone. Also, Burrell put up good combine numbers benching 245, squatting 415, clocking a 4.4 shuttle, 4.6 40 yard dash, and has a 31 inch vertical. Please keep your eye out on him in Austin, Texas this upcoming 2022 football season.
Alex Green Hutto High School- 6’0 185Ibs/WR/ Hutto High School
Analysis: Alex Green is another player that will be looking to have a great season next year. He clocked a 4.56 40 yard dash, a 4.38 shuttle time and has a 34 inch vertical. Green has the ability to go up and get the ball at its highest point. He has good route running skills and has soft hands allowing him to make difficult catches. Just a sophomore, Green racked up a total of 29 catches for 323 yards and 1 touchdown. He has decent speed and can break away at any given moment when given the chance. In the future, do not sleep on this young man because he does have the potential to become a really good receiver!
William Hammond- 6’2 190Ibs/QB/ Hutto High School
Analysis: William Hammond is one of the best underrated quarterbacks in the city of Austin. He racked up a total of 2,143 yards, and 25 touchdowns with a QBR of 102.6! This young man has a cannon on him. He is very accurate and can deliver key throws of his receivers to only where they can catch it. He has good pocket footwork. When the pocket collapses, he makes sure he steps up in the pocket to extend the play which shows his poise! Hammond can also hurt you with his legs if he has too. Moving forward, look for him to catch the attention of college football coaches and scouts!
Joseph Rodriguez- 5’11 160Ibs/QB/ Hendrickson High School
Analysis: Joseph Rodriguez is a playmaker at the quarterback position. Every time he gets out of the pocket, he makes sure to keep his eyes down field. He has a decent arm but delivers accurate throws. Rodriguez has good speed as well and if you do not keep an eye on him, he will gash you for mass amounts of yards or even score a touchdown. He is not easy to bring down either, possessing elusiveness and having good spin moves in his arsenal. With more time, Joseph Rodriguez will only improve and become better!
