With that being said, we will take a look at underrated players who have what it takes to make a name for themselves. These players may be overlooked due to several reasons, but that should not deter you away from scouting them! In this article, we will explain why these young men are on the rise and deserved to be recognized as so!
Brady Gephart- 5’10 165Ibs/QB/ Anderson High School
Analysis: Brady Gephart is one player you should consider when looking for good players. Gephart had a decent freshman year, stacking up a total of 902 passing yards going 41/63, and 12 touchdowns with 0 interceptions. He also had 3 rushing touchdowns for 178 yards and this was all in a span of five games. Also, he had a QBR of 148.0. In his sophomore year he has shown to be an excellent scrambling quarterback and has a decent arm. His throws are very accurate. You can also use him the slot position as well! He does a good job of throwing on the run as well. With more development, it will be interesting where he will end up! Look for him to have a good junior year this upcoming season!
Garret Crownover- 6’4 280Ibs/LT/ Anderson High School
Analysis: Garret Crownover has the size and the strength of a division I lineman. He is also a two year varsity starter. Crownover is a pancake machine, forcing defensive linemen in to the ground. He has good blocking technique , along with his keen footwork. He stays low in his blocks and he does not stop until the whistle blows. He is as physical as they come which is what you need in a lineman. Crownover does a superb job of opening up holes for his teammates and protects his quarterback when defensive linemen try to collapse the pocket! Keep your eye out on his for his upcoming senior year!
Tyree Nicholson- 5’11 190Ibs/RB/ Cedar Park High School
Analysis: Tyree Nicholson is another running back to look for in this upcoming season. He was 2nd team district all year as well. Nicholson is not the fastest, but he has decent speed, can block well, and has a nose for finding the right gaps to hit. He runs with authority and can also make plays in the passing game. Give him some more time, and he will make a name for himself in no time! Look for him to have a better year in his senior season as well!
Bryson Amrine- 6’0 180Ibs/LB/ Dripping Springs High School
Analysis: Bryson Amrine is a very good player at the linebacker position! He racked up a total of 107 tackles, 7 tackles for losses, and fumble recovery. He does a great job at following the ball and keeping an eye on the quarterback. Amrine maintains good gap discipline and plays physical in the trenches as well. This young man is relentless in his pursuit to the ball carrier and is not afraid to take on blocks and sacrifice his body to make a play! Finally, he possesses good speed and can force fumbles. Moving forward, watch for Bryson Amrine to rise!
Garon Duncan- 6’1 191Ibs/WR,FS/ Dripping Springs High School
Analysis: Garon Duncan is a monster on the field and he is also a freak of nature! He runs a 4.5 40 yard dash, 4 second shuttle, bench presses 285 pounds and has a 36 inch vertical which proves this man can jump! Even though he only played 7 games in his junior year, Duncan has the capability to become a big dog! He has supreme jump ball skills and runs his routes extremely well. He possesses really soft hands and is a great outside the numbers receiver! He is a very physical stalk blocker which is a must at the receiver position if you want to run the ball well! Do not be surprised when Garon Duncan starts to rack up some offers if he is healthy! Duncan also has tremendous run after the catch ability as well. Watch out for him in the future this upcoming season!
