Houston is home to a lot of NFL talent! Some of the best players have come out of this city alone, and has contributed to many state titles along the way. Their are plenty of players in the city of Houston that are slept on, but they can compete with the cream of the crop and have proven themselves. Some of these young men will continue to develop and become super stars at the next level. They have impacted their teams tremendously, which is the reason why these players have made this list! Without further due, let’s take a look and analyze some of the best sleeper players in the city of Houston!

Analysis: [player_tooltip player_id="147432" first="Trey" last="Owens"] is a phenomenal player to look out for this upcoming season. Owens racked up 1,739 passing yards, and 18 touchdowns last year! His pocket presence and patience in the pocket is something that Owens possesses naturally and is very good at. He has a very powerful arm and is able to make difficult throws while standing in the pocket. [player_tooltip player_id="147432" first="Trey" last="Owens"] accuracy is superb as well. His speed needs more development, but with more training it will only improve and he also has good footwork in the pocket. He does a tremendous job at stepping up in the pocket, instead of panicking and throwing the ball away or running! [player_tooltip player_id="281609" first="Landon" last="Rink"] is extremely explosive off of the snap of the ball! Rink plays very physical and tenacious, laying a hat on each and every ball carrier running his way. He is an extremely good tackler in the trenches and in the open field. This young prospect is amazing for a freshman! He uses great technique, keeping his pad level low and driving, while using his hands to swim or spin off of blocks. His closing speed on quarterbacks at the defensive lineman position is second to none! Rink is a true difference maker on the team! For the next three years, I expect [player_tooltip player_id="281609" first="Landon" last="Rink"] to make a household name for himself!
<strong>Thaddeus Watson- 5’9 160Ibs/QB/ Westside High School</strong>
Analysis: Thaddeus Watson has all the talent and potential in the world to go far! Last year, he was the 2023 District 18-6A Newcomer of The Year, and made First Team All-District two years in a row. Watson has a very beautiful arm , and can drop dimes into tight spots to where the receiver can only get it. He is very fast at the quarterback position, and can hurt you at any given moment if you do not contain him properly. Watson displays very good footwork mechanics in the pocket as well and makes sure to go through his progressions. Look for him to have an excellent senior season next year!
<strong>Reagan Gill- 6’6 315Ibs/LT/ Jersey Village High School</strong>
Analysis: Reagan Gill is a very tough player that will turn the heads of scouts! Gill has a great amount of strength benching 355 pounds! He has an extremely solid build being 315 pounds solid as well. He is as mean as they come when it comes to blocking in the trenches. Gill is a pancake machine putting defensive linemen on their backs left and right. This young man can move swiftly for his size! He is also very explosive, and plays with physical toughness in the trenches. Look for him to rack up some offers in the future, and for him to have an amazing senior season!
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="276074" first="Dominic" last="Ramirez"]- 5’9 160Ibs/WR/ Cypress Creek High School</strong>
Analysis: [player_tooltip player_id="276074" first="Dominic" last="Ramirez"] is a dynamic player and has proven why with his skill of play on the gridiron! He racked up a total of 1,167 yards and 11 touchdowns. Out of the 1,167 total yards, 650 were rushing yards, and 517 were receiving yards showing his versatility! Ramirez has soft hands, and can catch the ball extremely well. His route running skills are crispy as well! When he is running the ball, he runs tough and physical, and shows that he has the keen footwork to cut on a dime and juke out defenders. Finally, this young man has very good vision, and is more than fast enough to pull away from defenders and score touchdowns. Keep your eyes on this one, moving forward!
