DE Desmond Hill — 6’0″ 245 / Odessa Permian HS — @Dez_HillJr
Junior Stats: 43 tackles, 14 TFL, 8 QB hurries, and 5 sacks
The MOJO has a stud defensive end who plays with a ton of heart and a non-stop motor. Hill may be undersized, but there is, without a doubt, a school out there who NEEDS a guy like him on their roster. He utilizes a nasty swim move in his pass rush, and is able to bull rush offensive tackles when necessary. He is extremely stout at the point of attack, which allows him to be disruptive in the run game. Don’t let the small stature fool you – Desmond is one of the better defensive ends you’ll find in west Texas.

DE Caleb Emery — 6’2″ 235 / El Paso Eastlake HS — @CalebEmery12
Junior Stats: 98 tackles, 9 TFL, 9 sacks, 12 QB hurries
In pass rush mode, Emery can get after the quarterback. He has adequate strength to quickly disengage from blockers and nice quickness and ‘hip dip’ around the corner. He flashes nice recognition skills and looks elite when coming around on stunts. Very solid against the run as well. He fits best as an outside linebacker in a 3-4, given his burst and ability to rush the passer. The offers should start to roll in as his season progresses.

DE Aaron Moody — 6’0″ 205 / Cooper HS — @Aaron__Moody
Moody plays defensive end for the Class 2A Bulldogs, and is new to the position. At the next level Moody will have to stand up and develop as a Will linebacker, and he’s certainly got the chops to do it. He’s a hard-working player who plays through the whistle. His nose for the ball is apparent. He would be a nice pickup for a smaller program.

G Julio Madero — 6’4″ 285 / Odessa Permian HS — @Madero_Julio24 / Class of ’24
Madero is an absolute mauler on the interior of the Panthers’ offensive line. He’s exactly the type of hard-nosed, physical presence you want in your O Line room. What he does very well is fire off the line and get into the chests of defensive tackles. He gets a good push in the run game, and he also looks good when pulling. In addition, he is a true technician who displays solid footwork and hand placement.

LB Jayden Wilson — 6’2″ 225 / Austin HS — @JaydenWilson_24
The District 2-5A MVP a season ago, Wilson is the type of linebacker you can build your program around. He is a leader on the field, displays a high football IQ, and most importantly, is always around the football. He’s a between the tackles thumper who has solid sideline-to-sideline speed. When it comes to his pass rush, he would benefit from added burst when coming off the snap. He’s got good vision and a nice instinctiveness about him that makes him quite the intriguing prospect heading into the 2022 season.
