With 21 Offensive Linemen in the class of 2023 on the Prep Redzone rankings and 4 in the top 10 ranked players overall, it is obvious that there is a great abundance of talent at the position. Here are five of those Offensive Linemen looking to have a great Senior season in 2022. [player_tooltip player_id="287990" first="Austin" last="Siereveld"], 6’5, 320, Lakota East [player_tooltip player_id="287990" first="Austin" last="Siereveld"] is the #2 ranked OL and the 5th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. In 2021, he helped the Lakota East Thunderhawks to seven wins and average 29.5 points per game. He plays as a LT and RT. While run blocking, he displays elite play strength with very good hands as he delivers a powerful punch to the frame of the DE sending his man to the ground with ease. In pass pro, he does a good job of keeping his feet moving and shows good hands as he wins battles with his hands inside negating the progress of the DE giving the QB a clean pocket to operate from. [player_tooltip player_id="284456" first="Richard" last="Luecke"], 6’6, 310, Lutheran West [player_tooltip player_id="284456" first="Richard" last="Luecke"] is the 3rd ranked OL and the 7th ranked player in the class of 2023 overall. In 2021, he helped the Lutheran West Longhorns to an 8 win season and average 33.9 points per game. He plays predominantly as a RG. While run blocking, he displays very good quickness and agility as he pulls right on power runs. He shows good hands and play strength as he effectively blocks the LB creating a big lane for the RB. In pass pro, he plays with a good base and effectively uses his good play strength, hand use and athletic ability to keep the QB clean. [player_tooltip player_id="141061" first="Joshua" last="Padilla"], 6’4, 265, Wayne [player_tooltip player_id="141061" first="Joshua" last="Padilla"] is the 4th ranked OL and the 10th ranked player overall in the class of 2023. In 2021, the future Ohio State Buckeye helped the Wayne Warriors to an 8 win season and average 29 points per game. He plays as a RT. While run blocking, he generates excellent movement at the point of attack against EDGE rushers with his very good play strength, physical toughness an use of hands as he drives them off the ball and finishes the block to the ground for a pancake. In pass pro, he keeps his feet constantly moving, delivers a powerful punch to the frame of the DE and sends his man to the ground. [player_tooltip player_id="176677" first="Brian" last="Frasco"], 6’2, 290, Ursuline [player_tooltip player_id="176677" first="Brian" last="Frasco"] is the 5th ranked OL and the 18th ranked player in the class of 2023 overall. In 2021, he helped the Ursuline Fighting Irish to an 11 win season, average 42.7 points per game and advance to the Division IV state championship game. He plays as a LT. While run blocking, he fires out low, gets his hat across the face of the DE and uses his very good play strength to generate movement at the point of attack as he drives his man off the ball. In pass pro, he sets up at a 45 degree angle while showing good bend, delivers a well timed punch to he frame of the DE and uses his very good physical toughness and play strength as he anchors and helps maintain a clean pocket. [player_tooltip player_id="141073" first="AJ" last="Salley"], 6’5, 240, Miamisburg [player_tooltip player_id="141073" first="AJ" last="Salley"] is the 7th ranked OL and the 40th ranked player overall in the class of 2023 overall, In 2021, the future Cincinnati Bearcat helped the Miamisburg Vikings to a 6 win season and average 22.7 points per game. He plays as a LG and LT. While run blocking, he displays very good athletic ability as he pulls to the perimeter. Uses his good play strength to drive the OLB off the ball creating a lane for the RB. In pass pro, he wins battles with his hands inside as he is able to stay in front of larger DT and maintain his block. In addition to his great play as an OL, he also excels as a DE.
