<strong>Charles Barber Jr- 6'0 150Ibs/CB/ TAFT High School</strong>
Analysis: Charles Barber Jr is one of the corners that caught my eye recently. This young man is very good in man coverage and it is very difficult to shake him. He plays with excellent technique using his hands at the line and staying close to the hip. Also, he is very athletic and possesses very good speed and explosion. This young man also has really good hands and can make really good tackles in the open field. He has the stature and potential to play anywhere at the collegiate level! Look out for this young man in the future because he has the talent to make some serious noise!
<strong>Jeffrey Bondac- 5'10 170Ibs/CB/ Converse Judson High School</strong>
Analysis: Mr. Bondac is an underrated cornerback. On the field, he does a very good job in the tackling game, taking great angles to the ball carrier. He is very smooth in his back peddles and plays physical at the corner position. In zone coverage, he does a great job using his eyes to not allow anything to get behind him. With some more training, he can develop into a top defensive back if he wants to!
<strong>Keelan Elder- 6'0 160Ibs/CB/ Brennan High School</strong>
Analysis: During his junior season, Keelan Elder played ten games and plays both defensive back and wide receiver! He racked up a total of thirty eight tackles, twenty receptions for two hundred and ten yards, one interception, three fumble recoveries, three touchdowns, and five returns for one hundred and ninety yards. He does a great job at breaking up passes, has good jump ball skills, and is a good tackler as well. Elder, also has good coverage skills in man coverage always keeping himself in position to make a play. Look our for him to have a superb senior season next year!
<strong>Que Jackson- 6'0 160Ibs/CB/ Converse Judson High School</strong>
Analysis: Que Jackson is one of the sleeper players on this list that deserves to get more recognition. This young man has a really smooth back peddle, physical in the tackling game, and has very good coverage skills! At the line, he is able to shed stock blocks fairly well and does not allow receivers inside of him easily. He makes plays in the passing game by catching interceptions and simply maintaining good discipline. When he is on the field, his team can rely on him to do his job and help them win games! With some more training and development, this young man has a bright future ahead of him!
<strong>Gerardo Mejia II- 6'0Ibs 150Ibs/CB/ Central Catholic High School</strong>
Analysis: With a track background, Gerardo Mejia has really good speed for a corner back! He is tremendous when it comes to laying hard hits and jarring the ball lose. He does an excellent job shedding blocks and pursuing the ball carrier. In man and zone coverage, he puts himself in position to make plays with his long arms and soft hands. Also, he has a good back peddle which is very much needed at the corner position! He is an under the radar corner back looking to put himself on the map for the upcoming season!
