Sights and Sounds: Sunday’s 7×7 Action in Albuquerque

New Mexico Legacy hosted two other teams – New Mexico Heat (more on them Thursday) and Bernalillo for 7x7 battle on a wind-whipped Sunday afternoon at La Cueva High School in Albuquerque. Arguably the top player on the field was Bernalillo WR <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="275206" first="Mason" last="Espinda"]-Mcchriston</strong>, who made several acrobatic catches. And, as you would expect in a game between friends, the contest between NM Legacy and NM Heat got, shall we say, a little heated at times. Barking between the two talented teams began soon after the first snap and crescendoed when each team’s defense intercepted a pass on consecutive possessions. Finally, the coaches stepped in and calm was restored. And the hard-fought battle resumed.
