<strong>THE SEMINOLES</strong>
The frustrating part of the 2021 season is this program was more than good enough to get back to the 8A title game to defend a championship they won the year before.
Early season loss to 3A power Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna (26-23) and an amazing overtime loss to state runner-up Apopka (28-27) were the only two setbacks on a schedule that was indeed loaded with quality opponents.
As the 2022 season gets set to unfold, you can definitely count this team back in the playoff mix – as a strong senior class is combined with some impressive underclassmen. The schedule once again will be challenging, but this program is at the level where they can compete against anyone – and their destination in the second week of December is DRV Pink Stadium in Fort Lauderdale to get back what was lost a year ago.
