Arrington Maiden Arrington Maiden 6'3" | 205 lbs | QB College Station | 2024 State TX (QB) C/O 2024
6’3 195
College Station HS
Maiden is the next man up at College Station and has already made an impression in the off season. The sophomore signal caller had an MVP Performance at the EXOS Select 50 Showcase a few weeks ago. Arrington has a cannon, can make throws on the run, his field vision allows him the focus on his target despite pressure in his face and he has the athleticism to escape the pocket when needed. In 2021, Maiden passed for 1204 yards, 17 touchdowns to go along with 80 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. Arrington is ranked #120 in the PRZ rankings overall in the class of 2024 in Texas and is the #7 ranked quarterback in Texas.
Amontae Allen (QB) C/O 2023
5’10 170
Ellison HS
Allen is a duel threat quarterback with an electric arm, makes throws into small windows with accuracy, has a fluid over the top throwing motion and has a sharp, quick release. Amontae has the athleticism to navigate the pocket, throws well on the run and his ability to use his legs make him dangerous on the run. Allen will no doubt turn heads when he steps on the field at the Prospect Tour.
Noah Long Noah Long 5'10" | 175 lbs | RB Liberty Hill | 2024 State TX (RB, KR) C/O 2024
5’11 177
Liberty Hill HS
Long runs with power between the tackles, is a physical runner and has the burst to make house calls. Noah knows how to get skinny through a hole, has great vision and reads his blocks like a veteran runner. Long was a key contributor at Liberty Hill in 2021, as they made a run to the 5A DII title game and finished this season as the runner up to South Oak Cliff. I had a front row seat as Long had great game against one of the best defenses in the state of Texas. The sophomore had 233 carries with 2008 yards rushing, 29 TDs, while averaging 8.6 yards a carry. Long is a also a threat on special teams as a kick returner.
Gabriel Hernandez Gabriel Hernandez 6'3" | 285 lbs | OL Lumberton | 2023 State TX (OL) C/O 2023
6’3 280
Lumberton HS
Hernandez is a road grader, has a nasty streak, has a non stop motor, he is agile and quick with ability to make blocks at the second level easily. Hernandez has a powerful punch, excellent footwork and is technically sound. Gabriel has the versatility to play all of the positions along the offensive line which shows off his athleticism. Recently Hernandez was the offensive line MVP at the Showcase Football camp in Houston. Hernandez’s stock is definitely rising, after picking up an offer recently from Austin Peay.
Zion Taylor Zion Taylor 6'2" | 235 lbs | DL Shadow Creek | 2024 State TX (EDGE) C/O 2024
6’2 235
Shadow Creek HS
Taylor’s burst of the line is explosive, his first step is next level, he runs the arch like a veteran, he has violent hands and his rangy arm length keeps blockers from getting into his body. Zion’s engage and shed technique is superb, he possesses an array of moves in his toolbox, closes well on the ball carrier and takes proper pursuit angles when trailing a play from the backside. Taylor is ranked the #32 player overall in the class of 2024 and the #2 defensive lineman in the PRZ Texas rankings.
Darein “DJ” Hargrove (DB) C/O 2023
5’10 160
Summer Creek HS
Hargrove is an instinctual cornerback, trust his eyes in coverage, plays with an aggressive mindset and is a ballhawk when the ball in thrown in his area code. Darein has a smooth backpedal, flips his hips well and closes down windows that quarterbacks believe they have open. Hargrove is a sure tackler in open space, takes proper pursuit angles and lays the lumber. Hargrove plays in one the toughest districts Texas, that includes Atascocita, North Shore and C.E. King. Darein is battled tested and is a player to watch heading into the Prospect Tour in Texas.
Aaron Scherp (SS/OLB) C/O 2024
6’0 185
Southlake Carroll
Scherp runs the alleys well, plays with great leverage out in space, takes the correct pursuit angles when tackling and is a turnover machine for the Dragon defense. Aaron has great instincts, gets into his backpedal smoothly, plays the pass aggressively, which led to several takeaways and forced fumbles this past season where he was selected Defensive newcomer of the year on a Dragon defense that made a deep playoff run. Aaron is a player to keep an eye out for at the Prospect Tour in Texas.
