Headed into his fourth season, Head Coach Trevor Williams is looking to continue to build off some momentum inside his program. In 2021, Creekview finished the regular season with an 8-2 record. Those 2 losses were each by one possession. If a couple of balls bounced their way, the Grizzlies could have finished the 2021 season undefeated.
Regardless, Creekview was once again the best team in Cherokee County in 2021 and will look to continue that trend. However, they will have to do it without impact players like Mason Hicks, Tyler Stevens Tyler Stevens 5'11" | 205 lbs | RB Creekview | 2022 GA , and Cale Williams Cale Williams 6'0" | 195 lbs | DB Creekview | 2022 State GA , among others. Fortunately, there is a young crop of talented prospects that have been waiting in the shadows for the Grizzlies and 2022 is their time to show what they can do.
Players to Watch
Isaac Hubert Isaac Hubert 6'2" | 230 lbs | LB Creekview | 2023 State GA – EDGE – 6’2 230 – 2023
There is a good chance Isaac Hubert Isaac Hubert 6'2" | 230 lbs | LB Creekview | 2023 State GA is the best player you’ve never heard of. Even with a few D1 offers under his belt, he is somehow unbelievably underrated. On film, he is one of the more explosive prospects you will ever see and plays with an absurd amount of energy and effort. Was named a max preps all-American as a freshman, and has continued to add accolades since then. Hubert is finally starting to get the attention he deserves on the trail, and will be looking to finish his highly decorated high school on a high note.
Taylor Cox-Young – CB – 5’11 – 2023
Cox-Young had a bit of a breakout season in 2021 and is now getting set to take the next step forward as a senior in 2022. Despite being one of the fastest CBs in the state, Cox-Young is still somehow relatively unheard of on the recruiting trail. When you turn on the tape, you will see that Cox-Young possesses all of the qualities that make up a shutdown man corner. He can flip his hips and run with anyone, but he also has long arms with active hands that allow him to knock the ball away from defenders and press on the line. With a big 2022 season, there is a good chance that Cox-Young puts himself in position to see some offers roll in.
Andrew Rosinski Andrew Rosinski 6'6" | 280 lbs | OL Creekview | 2024 State GA – OL – 6’6 – 2024
Creekview has had a recent crop of PO5 offensive linemen come through in recent years, and there is a good chance Rosinski could develop into another one. We were fortunate to host Rosinski at the Atlanta Prep Redzone Showcase in January, and he did not disappoint. He has a great frame and is still growing into it. He showed off some quality footwork and enough physicality to build upon. Rosinski will anchor what should be another big-time offensive front for the Grizzlies, and he still has yet to peak as a prospect.
Reed Anderson – LB – 6’0 – 2024
Anderson is yet another underrated prospect out of Creekview despite producing as a young player on varsity. Anderson shows great versatility, lining up anywhere from MLB to DE on film. At first glance, you will notice how physically impressive Anderson is, and that translates to the weight room where he can squat 560 pounds. With his combination of sheer size and strength, he is a nightmare for offensive coordinators as he will always find a way to make an impact. Headed into his junior year, there is a good chance that Anderson takes that next step in his development.
Austin Guest – QB – 5’11 – 2025
As I mentioned before, Creekview will have to replace a highly productive senior QB this season. Fortunately, that replacement was waiting in the shadows. Guest played sparingly as a freshman on varsity, being used mostly as a runner. On tape, he is lethal with his legs and puts some nice touch on the ball. Is widely considered as one of the best 2025 QBs in the state of Georgia, and could improve his stock even more with a year of starting experience under his belt. Guest will lead the Creekview offense into battle next year and it will be intriguing to see how well he adjusts as a starter.
Other Players to Watch: 2023 WR Camden Lusk, 2023 DB Cole Sackman, 2023 OL Anthony Carabello, 2024 DB Jonah Dirrim, 2024 DL Trey Thomas, 2025 QB Austin Guest, 2025 ATH Evan Wayland
Must-See Games
at Cambridge – August 19th
Last season, Creekview lost a frustrating game to Cambridge by a score of 7-0. This year, they will take on the Bears during the season opener and look to avenge their loss. However, it won’t be easy as Creekview will have to hit the road to play a Cambridge team that returns some talent.
Sequoyah – October 14th
While Creekview has dominated the series recently, Creekview and Sequoyah is one of the most bitter rivalries in the state. Those two teams share a city, so the loser of this game will be hearing about it for a while.
at Rome – October 28th
It is rare that you get to take on a program like Rome, especially on the road. While Rome is one of the yearly powers in the state, Creekview will get an opportunity to show off how talented they are as they close out their regular season against one of the most talented teams in the state.
