Ohio Capital Conference Top 2023 – Buckeye Division

Central Ohio is loaded with talent in the 2023 and 2024 classes like the rest of the state.  This series will focus on the league breakdowns for the 2023 class. <strong>Central Crossing</strong> <strong>Josh Codjoe</strong>, CB - Josh is a lockdown Corner with 4.4 speed.  He is really athletic and can cover man/zone equally well.  He has great hips and twitch and transitions on a dime.  He makes plays on the ball with his quick close or leaping ability.  He can run with anyone and stay in phase.  Really impressive player. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14654022/Josh-Codjoe">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14654022/Josh-Codjoe</a> <strong>Groveport Madison</strong> <strong>Michael Robinson</strong>, RB - He is really quick and lightning fast.  Once he gets going it is hard to catch and tackle him.  I was really impressed with his twitch and athletic ability.  Makes one cut and gets north quickly.  He runs behind his pads and has the ability to run you over when needed.  Caught the ball out of the backfield well this season. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13127394/Michael-Robinson">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13127394/Michael-Robinson</a> <strong>Lancaster</strong> <strong>Ryan Walker</strong>, TE - Ryan has the size of a college game changing TE and the speed of WR.  Ryan plays in a run oriented option offense and is a great blocker with good technique.  He comes off the snap low and hard with good flat back.  His punch is powerful and inside the frame.  He can drive and reach block equally well.  Gets vertical very quickly in the pass game and runs good underneath and crossing routes.  Didn’t have a ton of targets but made the most of the ones he had. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14683125/Ryan-Walker">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14683125/Ryan-Walker</a> <strong>Newark</strong> <strong>Trey Robinson</strong>, SB/SS - The first play on film sums up Trey; he has a relentless motor and plays with his hair on fire.  He is very athletic, fast, and twitchy.  He plays SS and is a great tackler and triggers downhill quickly in the run game.  He is aggressive in the pass game and swallows the cushion between him and the receivers.  He is a very good tackler with great aggression and wrap.  Very impressed with his ability to get after it. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12926900/Trey-Robinson">https://www.hudl.com/profile/12926900/Trey-Robinson</a> <strong>Pickerington Central</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34494" first="Kobi" last="Gorman"]</strong>  - Kobi is really talented at the DT position.  He does a great job of coming off the ball low and hard and gets his hands up and through the blockers.  He sheds blockers easily and does a good job reading the plays and can defeat all the blocks.  He is a relentless pass rusher with good aggression and moves.  He is the kind of player capable of wreaking havoc for opposing offenses and has to be accounted for. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13060889/Kobi-Gorman">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13060889/Kobi-Gorman</a> <strong>Reynoldsburg</strong> Jabari Mitchell, OLB - Jabari is a beast of an athlete at OLB.  He tackles really well in close quarters and in space and ball carriers rarely get past his aggressive grip.  He brings the hips and the physicality to the blocks he faces and does well with hand placement.  He is a relentless pass rusher and blitzes well.  He has a couple of good pass rush moves and bends well to the QB.  He plays coverage like a safety and cancels the underneath zones well.  Really impressive defensive player for the Raiders.
