On Friday, there were numerous Georgia prospects in attendance for the Owls’ spring game. Here are some of the most noteworthy visitors.
CB – Dre Raven – Gainesville – 2023
Raven is a prospect that I have been tracking for a while. In fact, he was named to our all-underrated team in the state of Georgia for the 2023 class. On film, you see a speedy prospect with nice ball skills. He can play press coverage on defenders pretty easily but is extremely effective when he backs off and breaks on the ball. Raven’s recruitment has picked up some recently. Raven has seen offers come his way from schools like Morehouse and Austin Peay. He has also made a few stops at Georgia Southern and Georgia Tech with several of his Gainesville teammates. Raven is due for a breakout senior season which could result in his recruitment skyrocketing.
I will be at Kennesaw State University tomorrow (April 15th) for the spring game ! @RecruitTheG @gainesvillefb @kennesawstfb @CoachChesnutKSU pic.twitter.com/jyLBCgl7BX

CB – Taylor Cox-Young – Creekview – 2023
Raven and Cox-Young are two players that we have typically mentioned together, mostly because we believe they are vastly under-recruited prospects. Cox-Young, a Creekview standout, is one of the fastest players in the state of Georgia. His long arms allow him to lockdown receivers at the line and come in handy when trying to make plays on the ball. His speed allows him to flip his hips and run with anyone, which makes it extremely hard to create separation against him. Cox-Young had a breakout Junior season on the Varsity level, but his recruitment has yet to take off. With two known visits to KSU recently, there is reason to believe that the bulk of his recruitment is still ahead of him.
I 👀 @TaylorCoxYoung1 with #LegendOfTheView and @KSUOwlsFootball @cade_radam at the Owls Spring Game! I think TCY would look great playing in 5/3 Bank Stadium in 2023! @FtballAtTheView @TheViewRecruits pic.twitter.com/PMMx7d8Iaa

DB – Travis Franklin Jr – Sandy Creek – 2023
Franklin is yet another speedy Metro Atlanta prospect that was in attendance on Friday. Like the others, Franklin is too an under-recruited prospect. Lining up mostly at safety, Franklin has some serious speed and can come downfield and lay some big hits on opposing players. Not only is he a hard hitter, but he is a great form tackler as well. His speed is also a nightmare to gameplan around, as he can run sideline to sideline and patrol the entire second level like a center fielder. To date, Franklin has no recorded offers, but speedy prospects with his playmaking ability don’t go unnoticed for long.

LB – Ja’Tyler Lundy – Dooly County – 2023
Lundy is a new prospect to me, and I came away very impressed when I turned on the tape. At 6’0, he might not possess the ideal size of an LB, but his skills and motor make up for it. In just seven games last season, he put up an unreal 40 TFL stat line. He did this by using his speed and motor to come downfield in a hurry and make plays in the backfield. In the middle of your defense, having someone that can run sideline to sideline and keep everything in front of them is extremely valuable. Lundy does all of that and more. There are no recorded offers to date for Lundy, but another season like his junior year would likely change that.
Thankful for an invite to the Kennesaw State Spring Game 🖤. @PhillipHale_ @RecruitGeorgia pic.twitter.com/1NZcrDZGJ6

QB – Davion Hampton – Kell – 2023
Considered as an ATH, Hampton flashed some serious playmaking ability and potential from the QB position. While a large portion of his tape is his elite running ability with the ball in his hands, he also showcases a fast release and some nice touch on the deep ball from the QB spot. As a runner, he is extremely physical and has nice vision. At around 6’1, his combination of size and speed opens tons of possibilities for how he can be used at the next level. Whether he is at RB, WR, or stays at QB, Hampton has plenty to offer for any school that is willing to take a shot on him.
