Every legitimate team has to have offensive linemen upfront that can control the line of scrimmage.
It’s imperative for teams to be able to line it up and knock the defensive front back to gain a first down in any situation. These furniture movers are some of guys that have stood out to me so far.
Hayden Norwich – Chisom Trail High school – Class of 2023
When you watch Hayden’s tape from last fall you can see the strain and physicality that he played with all year.
He is a certified mauler who is also a very talented shot and disk thrower.
He has a great frame, good length, and a nice kick slide. What impresses you the most about him, is his ability to stonewall and refit on defensive linemen in the run game and does a nice eliminating them in space when pulling. He plays nasty and with the urgency that you love to see in the trenches. I look forward to seeing him compete more in person as the track and field season comes to an end.
Byron Washington Byron Washington 6'8" | 380 lbs | OL Desoto | 2025 State TX – Desoto High school – Class of 2025
Byron is a massive 6’8 340-pound guard out of Desoto Texas. Byron makes this list because he plays nasty, very violent with his hands, and can physically overwhelm defenders in the run game.
The rising sophomore has done a great job changing his body and has done well and competed at high level on the summer camp circuit. At his last @LT2FBA training he was noticeably more flexible and took his sets with urgency, posture, and knee bend. He recently took an unofficial visit to Texas Tech University and has a bevy of others set up.
T.J. Shanahan – Westlake High School – Class of 2023
T.J. is pound for pound one of the nastiest people maulers in the state. He is strong, lean, has sudden quickness, and plays with an edge and physical demeanor. He has blazed through the summer camp circuit and put on a show at events that I’ve seen him at. For example, he recently took home MVP honors at a Rivals camp and did a great job being patient and violent with his hands. He has offers from almost everywhere in the country and has an older brother who plays for Texas Tech.
Mike Uini – Copperas Cove Highschool- Class of 2024
Mike is a 6’8 290 pound rising tackle prospect with a 3.8 GPA. He fits the prototypical mold for the position and checks all of the boxes that you’d like to see.
He has the mobility, size, bend, and strain to that finish that you like to see in offensive linemen and is primed for a huge summer.
He has a bunch of room to grow and improve his game but has a chance to blow himself up on the recruiting trail if he continues to improve. He is scheduled to visit Baylor University this weekend and he is going to be a mauler to keep an eye on upfront.
