Frontier Athletic Conference Top 2023

Central Ohio is loaded with talent in the 2023 and 2024 classes like the rest of the state.  This series will focus on the league breakdowns for the 2023 class. <strong>Chillicothe</strong> <strong>Mason Doughty</strong>, QB - Mason is very underrated and deserves a long hard look on film.  He is tall at 6’3 and strong at 215 pounds.  He can really sling it with velocity in an RPO based offense.  Gets the ball out of his hands quickly with accuracy.  He can throw on the run and make plays with his legs.  Impressive running ability in the open field with good wiggle to shake would be tacklers.  Throws the ball deep with accuracy in addition to the intermediate throws over the middle.  Really impressive player with a 3.9 GPA HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/13007160/Mason-Doughty">https://www.hudl.com/profile/13007160/Mason-Doughty</a> <strong>Hillsboro (2024)</strong> <strong>Ayden Clemons</strong>, DT - Ayden is a mountain of a 2024 along the DL.  He stands 6’3 and weighs in at 270 pounds.  Only a sophomore and pretty raw but has the get off and strength to develop into a really good interior lineman.  He uses his hands well and has a powerful punch.  He comes off the ball low and hard and gets to lockout quickly.  He has a good bull rush and collapses the pocket.  Reads plays well and sheds easily.  Highly impressive sophomore. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/14866756/Ayden-Clemons">https://www.hudl.com/profile/14866756/Ayden-Clemons</a> <strong>Jackson</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="34497" first="Jacob" last="Winters"]</strong>, QB - Jacob has had a good offseason with visits and offers from many schools around the midwest.  He is a very good QB with great size and moxie.  He can really sling the ball with velocity and makes all the throws.  He has a really nice deep ball down the sidelines with touch and accuracy.  He has great pocket awareness and avoids the rush with proper footwork.  He runs a complex offense with multiple reads and scans the field well.  When he pulls the ball down can hurt you with his legs.  Keep an eye on this camp season. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/6577953/Jacob-Winters">https://www.hudl.com/profile/6577953/Jacob-Winters</a> <strong>McClain</strong> (2024) <strong>Andrew Potts</strong>, RB - Andrew is a very good rising Junior.  Plays the FB position in the Triple Option offense and is always the first option.  Runs downhill and behind his pads with great burst in the gap.  He gets vertical quickly and separates in the open field.  He can run a variety of plays well with good vision.  Has good athletic ability and wiggle.  Very impressive football player. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/15045259/Andrew-Potts">https://www.hudl.com/profile/15045259/Andrew-Potts</a> <strong>Miami Trace</strong> Landen Cope, Ath - Landen is the definition of great athlete with a high motor.  He plays with his hair on fire.  On offense he plays a variety of skill positions.  At running back has good vision, burst, speed, and wiggle.  At CB he plays with good technique and can stay on top of routes and has great speed into and out of breaks.  He runs to the ball every time with physicality.  He makes great tackles and always lets ball carriers know he is there.  In college could play a number of positions at a high level. HUDL: <a href="https://www.hudl.com/profile/12990465/Landen-Cope">https://www.hudl.com/profile/12990465/Landen-Cope</a> <strong>Washington Court House</strong> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="141072" first="Tanner" last="LeMaster"]</strong>, TE - Tanner is an outstanding football player and a threat in the pass game as a big target in addition to a devastating blocker.  He will be really good at the next level and is ranked in the top 50 on PrepRedzone.  He is committed to Kentucky.  He runs good routes on all levels.  He attacks the ball in the air and gets vertical quickly.  He is very difficult to tackle and runs behind his pads.  He blocks well and can move laterally and straight ahead with proper technique.  Sky is the limit for Tanner.
