Here are some of the prospects to send in film this month…
Phillip Baynes Jr – DB – 6’3 190 – Social Circle – 2023
Before you even turn on the film, Baynes instantly draws attention thanks to his frame. When you turn on the tape, you will see that Baynes has plenty of tools to complement his size. Playing mostly at the safety spot, Baynes is an extremely fast player that can cover plenty of ground on the field. His sideline to sideline speed allows him to even play at the LB spot at times to chase RBs out of the backfield. From the secondary spot, he comes downhill hard and makes a habit out of getting to the football. He also has very disruptive hands, which you can see on film when he breaks up passes and strips the ball from the ball carrier. All in all, Baynes plays a physical, attacking brand of football. When you pair that with his elite combination of size and speed, you have a very intriguing prospect with plenty of tools.
Logan Cross – QB – 6’6 195 – Social Circle – 2023
Cross is a prospect that I have talked about before and is someone that I believe is criminally underrated. For starters, he too has been blessed with some serious height. At 6’6, he has rare size for a QB and has plenty of room to grow out. Once he fully maximizes his frame, he has the tools to become a bonafide playmaker at the next level. On tape, Cross’s ability to extend plays with his legs and his pocket awareness is what makes him stand out. He does a great job of keeping his eyes downfield and scrambles to throw, not run. He also has great touch on his deep ball. There are numerous throws that can be seen on film that I had to watch numerous times. One small area of improvement could be his arm strength, but that will come naturally as he continues to grow into his frame. Cross is already a good QB now, but with continued growth, he has the ability to be a great QB prospect. Like his teammate Phillip Baynes Jr, Cross is also a big-time two-sport athlete.
David Hayden – LB – 6’2 225 – Trinity Christian – 2023
After watching Hayden for the first time, I came away most impressed with his versatility and motor. Playing mostly at the LB spot, Hayden does a great job of dissecting a play before it happens and getting to the right place at the right time. He doesn’t have elite speed, but he plays with a high motor and plays harder than most everyone on the field. At 6’2 225, he has a thick, muscular build. That frame allows him to lineup on the defensive front as well, mostly at DE. Personally, I project Hayden to play at the DE spot. He might not have the speed to be a true LB, but his physicality and motor are tailormade to rush the passer from the defensive front. Hayden is coming off a recent visit to Kennesaw State.

Ryan Graves Ryan Graves 6'3" | 235 lbs | TE Cherokee Bluff | 2024 State GA – ATH – 6’2 230 – Cherokee Bluffs – 2024
Graves was just a sophomore last year, but that didn’t stop him from being a physical force on the field. In fact, he was nothing short of a solid contributor on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he is used mostly as a blocker from the TE or HB position. There, he is an impact-style blocker that plays with a violent edge. Graves is not necessarily an elite receiver, but he has shown the ability to trickle downfield and make plays in the passing game. On defense, he is even more impressive. Coming off the EDGE spot, his combination of first-step explosiveness and effort is virtually unblockable. Regardless where Graves plays, he is going to play with tons of intensity and will always be the most explosive prospect on the field.
