There were many 2025 prospects I was quite intrigued by throughout the #Back2Ballin 7v7 tournament at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls. Who made an impression in Part I for the 2025 class? We saw lots of potential with prospects with ideal measurables, prospects that showed off an instinctive gene we love to see from this age, and prospects that are little brothers to prospects we have scouted- in years past. These seven standouts make Part I of this two-part series of the 2025s.
Chase Campbell | TE/DE | Olathe West (KS)-Kansas City Mongoose Elite | Tape & Twitter
Chase was one of the first prospects I got to watch out of the 2025 class on Saturday in Cedar Falls, and he left a lasting impression with his reps. At 6’3 190 pounds, Chase showed off great reliability with his hands especially on shorter routes. I also was really impressed at that size, how quick he looked off the top of his routes, as he showed off a lot of strength with his route running abilities in the reps I watched. Chase also shows a sizeable catch radius and is a dependable blocker up field. I also really like this young man’s character, as I am excited to see his development over the coming years.
Willie Holmes Jr. | TE/DE | Okoboji (IA)-Warriors Select
There is still some rawness to Willie’s game, but at 6’5 inches tall he is a TE/DE prospect to keep your eyes on over the coming years from Okoboji. Willie has some work to do with getting better speed with his route-running, but he did show flashes I could see being developed in other skillsets I saw on the field. Willie is a bruiser type tight end, that has considerable physicality on his route to draw the defender off and get separation from it. Keep your eyes out on this NW Iowa prospect to watch over the next 3-4 years that is also a coach’s kid.
Gaven Dean | QB | Lakeville South (MN)-GameFace | Tape & Twitter
I tweeted this out on Saturday, but to those that don’t follow us the Lakeville South Cougars have yet another Dean at QB in the making. Gaven showed strong composure inside the pocket from what I watched on Saturday and showed off some prime accuracy to add to his resume. With the light tape Gaven has, he shows a QB prospect that does not get rattled by pressure and has enough speed to get out of the pocket and still make a quality throw on a intermediate route with significant touch on the ball. Gaven is a prospect I would love to place on our 2025 watchlist over the coming months.
Milton Blamo | DB/WR | Champlin Park (MN)-Minnesota Elite Seven | Twitter
Milton passed the eye test with his good footwork he showed on Saturday especially in the secondary. On one particular play, he showed it all off when he used his instinctive nature to bring in a substantial interception for Minnesota Elite Seven. Milton isn’t the biggest kid you will see in the secondary, but he’s darn sure one to watch that is making the move to Champlin Park this upcoming 2022 season.
Tallin Wright | WR/CB | Okoboji (IA)/Warriors Select | Twitter
I loved the quick trigger Tallin brought to the table while watching Warriors Select on Saturday to get to the football with a fast rate of speed. Not just a stud defensively, you have to catch out the athleticism from this young man on this catch he made in the end zone this weekend in the UNI Dome, where he showed off his reach and extension all at once!

TyJohn Brooks | RB/DB | Park Center (MN)-Minnesota Elite Seven | Tape & Twitter
Oof, I was a big fan of TyJohn’s footwork when watching him for the first time this weekend at the UNI Dome. He took a couple defenders way off their feet with just how much juice he had in a few steps. Happy to say, we have this young man on our 2025 Watchlist here in Minnesota and is a young Park Center Pirate prospect with plenty of upside as an incoming sophomore. Do you want to see that footwork in action? Check the post below!

Chase Cunningham | QB | Papillion-La Vista (NE)-Nebraska Elite | 2025
I loved Chase’s arm strength he showed off especially on his shorter and intermediate routes. Watched a little tape on this young man and seeing his elusiveness in the pocket to get out of high traffic areas and still make a competitive throw for short-yardage. Don’t be fooled by this young man’s size, cause once Chase picks up an growth spurt he’s already got sound mechanics to blossom even stronger in the coming years.
