The weekend always brings with plenty of camps and recruiting visits that Arkansas high school football players partake in. It is spring break for many students in the state of Arkansas and it is a great time to make recruiting visits and go to performance camps to hone their craft on the field. We are going to look at several prospects that are making good use of early parts of the spring break week.

The Bentonville Tigers never seem to have a shortage at the wide receiver position. At the DR Sportz tournament this weekend, Irvin had the opportunity to put on a show. Irvin III has good speed and displays a talent to run crisp routes. The young man does a great job of creating separation from opposing defensive backs. Irvin III played well all weekend and the future at the wide receiver position in Bentonville is looking very bright.
[player_tooltip player_id="238790" first="Kelon" last="Barnett"]-Running Back-North Little Rock-2023
Barnett is a running back to watch out for during the 2022 season. However, he is a prospect that does a terrific job of catching the ball out of the backfield. The versatility Barnett brings to the offensive side of the ball is a strong trait that college scouts will love. The performance in Dallas sets the stage for a strong offseason for the North Little Rock running back. Barnett is a running back to keep an eye on this season, the potential is there for a big season.
[player_tooltip player_id="262460" first="Akira" last="Fujibayashi"]-Offensive Line-Greenwood-2026
The state of Arkansas was well represented in Dallas at the Football University camp over the weekend. Fujibayashi was able to get in some work at multiple positions along the offensive line over the weekend. Fujibayashi is another talented center that is coming up through the ranks in the state of Arkansas. Meanwhile, he was able to put in plenty of work on his blocking. The center position in Greenwood is going to be in good hands over the next few years. Fujibayashi has good speed and strength, and he is a prospect to watch out for the next few seasons.
[player_tooltip player_id="75141" first="Donovan" last="Whitten"]-Quarterback-Arkadelphia-2023
We knew going into the Elite 11 competition that it was going to be a chance for Whitten to open some eyes and he did just that. Whitten made all the throws and put on a great performance in Baton Rouge over the weekend. The work that Whitten put in was solid over the weekend and he came away with a fourth-place finish in the Baton Rouge region. Whitten is setting the stage for a strong 2022 season and for the Arkadelphia fans it could be a special season for the Badgers.
[player_tooltip player_id="205766" first="Joe" last="Trusty"]-Quarterback-Alma-2023
If you haven’t had the opportunity to watch Trusty’s tape, I would highly recommend it. The young man does a great job of throwing the football with accuracy. He can throw the deep ball with ease, and he moves around well enough in the pocket to create plenty of passing lanes. Trusty had a strong performance in Baton Rouge at the Elite 11 competition. What sticks out the most to me is how easy Trusty can fit the ball into some tight windows. He is a quarterback to watch for during the 2022 season.
