Many will say what they please regarding the 7v7 scene but one thing is for certain, it’s a great way to discover new talent to add to Watchlists. I am on a constant hunt to find talent, these tournaments help with that cause. No performance at these tournaments can get you ranked, but if you ball out, be sure to know you’re on my radar for the Fall.
Below are some new names to me (or the site), whose play stood out to me. Many are already ranked but could use a bump in stock.
Jaydin Canady Jaydin Canady 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Greensburg Central Catholic | 2023 State PA | 5’10, 180 | RB/WR/ATH | GCC | 2023
AIT is absolutely loaded with hidden names and none better than Jaydin Canady Jaydin Canady 5'10" | 180 lbs | ATH Greensburg Central Catholic | 2023 State PA out of Greensburg Central Catholic. Canady showed position versatility at the event and taking a look at his film, I get the feeling he’s an even better football prospect than 7v7 player. The film shows reps at RB, WR, and DB. The junior was part of the 2020 class that took home a WPIAL title. Canady’s calling card is his versatility but the kids got serious hands and was seen making some ridiculous catches at the previous 7v7 event in Atlanta. He balled out in New Jersey as well. Ranked player who should see his rank elevate.
Brady Erdos Brady Erdos 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Upper St. Clair | 2023 State PA | 6’1, 190 | QB | Upper St. Clair | 2023
Was impressed by QB Brady Erdos Brady Erdos 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Upper St. Clair | 2023 State PA . Erdos is a top 200 player in his class, was surprised to see him on the second 18U team yet still came away satisfied with his play. Solid ball placement when locating outside the numbers or downfield. His delivery matched up with what I saw on tape, as did his overall arm talent. Hope to see more out of Brady live this Fall if given the chance.
Ibn Shaheed Ibn Shaheed WR Bishop McCort | 2023 State PA | WR/DB | Bishop McCort | 2023
Another player whose ranking is too low! Shaheed made numerous plays at wideout and was often overshadowed by some of the bigger names at the event. The young man has the ideal build to play WR or DB which has to please Bishop McCort. Good overall body control, displays a wide catch radius above his head. Another player I’m excited to see more out of this Fall.
Thank you @CoachTerryPSU and the whole entire Penn state staff for da campus visit ‼️ pic.twitter.com/071zsYtIhz

Ayden Hudock Ayden Hudock 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Franklin Regional | 2024 State PA | 6’1, 180 | WR/RB/DB | Franklin Regional | 2024
Ayden Hudock Ayden Hudock 6'1" | 185 lbs | ATH Franklin Regional | 2024 State PA , a top 100 player in his class, was as advertised. His connection with QBs Brady Erdos Brady Erdos 6'1" | 190 lbs | QB Upper St. Clair | 2023 State PA and Zakii Lewis Zakii Lewis 6'2" | 190 lbs | QB Harrisburg | 2023 PA was seamless as if they’d been playing 7v7 ball for some time. I attribute most of that to Hudock’s awesome understanding of zone concepts and how to manipulate them to get open. I loved to see a little finesse in his game at these 7v7 events, it’s a contrast to his awesome film that shows off his size and physicality.
JeSean Wright JeSean Wright 5'8" | 170 lbs | LB Steel Valley | 2023 State PA | 5’8, 170 | LB | Steel Valley | 2023
Another Steel Valley prospect who is ranked too low and whose 7v7 play can’t compare to his on-field play. I love to see Wright in this setting, working on his route recognition and zone defense. This kid is special in run support, seeing him try to elevate his game and cover guys with speed is a big plus in my eyes. I was actually hoping to see some possible reps on offense out of Wright, AIT’s loaded roaster didn’t allow for that. Hope to see his off-season work be put on display in the Fall.
Samir Crosby Samir Crosby 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Greensburg Central Catholic | 2026 State PA | 5’10, 150 | QB/DB | GCC | 2026
The next three prospects are all unranked, yet their play at this event will make it difficult to keep it that way. Starting off with 2026 athlete Samir Crosby Samir Crosby 5'10" | 170 lbs | ATH Greensburg Central Catholic | 2026 State PA out of Greensburg Central Catholic, the young man left an impression on me. He was able to inflict damage against the defense with just his arm, which was crisp and on time throughout the entirety of the event. I can see the athleticism in this young man, but to beat defenses with just his arm shows he’s potentially the real deal at the QB position. Can’t wait to see his future development.
Tymere Thornton | 6’5, 210 | WR | Queen City PG | 2023
Thornton is a young man who has reclassified into the 2023 class. Good to know, because his ability to highpoint the football in goal-line situations / vertical routes alone makes the case for a spot on our rankings. The young man is highly under-recruited but apparently is new to football. Hoping a coaching staff can utilize his 6’5, 210-pound frame and mold this young man into a crucial piece of the puzzle for their program.
Wanieq Scott Wanieq Scott 6'1" | 165 lbs | WR William Penn York | 2025 State PA | 6’2, 165 | WR/DB | 2025
Here is another one of my favorite unranked players who can absolutely dominate a 7v7 setting from any alignment at wideout. I don’t think this kid gets enough credit or attention for his overall pass-catching abilities. He’s a natural hands catcher who can show you some inklings of route manipulation this early in his young football career. I’m impressed and want to share more of this young man in the future.
