Clifford is one of the more athletic tackles I have seen in recent years for his age. He is 6-foot-4, only around 260 pounds but leverages his weight well and is strong. He does a good job creating separation with his hands in pass protection and has solid footwork. Sometimes he struggles keeping his chest up in pass protection but he makes up for it with his quick feet. After watching clips of him doing offseason 1on1 drills, it seems like he is keeping his chest up more and improving. He sells the draw well and can pick up blitzes. He has all the tools to be a Division 1 prospect when he puts on some size. Clifford was named a First Team All-State sophomore by Cal-Hi Sports.

2. Samuel Brown Samuel Brown 6'3" | 315 lbs | OL Mater Dei Catholic | 2024 State CA , Mater Dei Catholic
I spent way too long trying to decide whether Brown or Clifford should be No. 1 on this list because they are both so good. Brown is bigger than Clifford and is a better run blocker right now. He has an excellent first step from the guard stop on zone runs and drives his feet through contact. He is athletic enough to pull on traps and Mater Dei doesn’t ask its left guard to do much in pass protection, but he does his job. He is closed to a finished project size wise at 315 pounds and will only get stronger and quicker as he develops. Brown was also named a First Team All-State sophomore by Cal-Hi Sports.

3. Apisaloma Tinoisamoa, El Camino
Tinoisamoa is another big guy at 315 pounds. He gets down the field well on screens and on double teams. El Camino actually used him as a fullback in 32 personnel to lead block on one play during his highlight reel. In pass protection he uses his hips and upper body strength to throw guys around and keep them from the quarterback. He has plus strength for a class of 2024 guard and can move a ton of weight in the weight room.

4. Najon Gillespie, Madison
Gillespie is on the leaner side at under 250 pounds but still has the strength to push guys around in the run game. Madison is loaded with offensive line talent like Jonah Rodriguez Jonah Rodriguez 6'4" | 270 lbs | OL Madison - San Diego | 2023 State CA and Jonathan Robles and Gillespie fits right in. He can line up at tackle or guard and Madison often uses him as a puller on power and stampede. He does a great job getting his helmet and hips between the defender and the ball carrier. He is developing alongside one of, if not the best offensive lines in San Diego and could develop into a Power 5 prospect.

5. Evan Marsh, Mt. Carmel
Marsh is long and athletic at 6-foot-5 and 250 pounds. He carries his weight well and almost looks like a tight end. He is also a very good nose tackle who gets skinny through the A gap and makes plays in the backfield. Offensively, he has long arms, solid footwork and can keep up with even the speediest defensive ends. He has thick legs and will benefit from more time in the weight room.
