Team Full Gorilla (TFG) and Ducks7v7 came together for a friendly scrimmage at the Denver Broncos practice facility this past Sunday. Not only did it give the players on each team an opportunity to compete, but the scrimmage also allowed for a lot of the state’s talented players to showcase their skills. 7-on-7 matchups are great ways for quarterbacks, receivers, and running backs to polish their offensive skills in the passing game, while also providing defensive skills players with the same opportunity. This article will take a look at seven QBs who stood out during the scrimmage. [player_tooltip player_id="22744" first="Brayden" last="Dorman"] | Vista Ridge | 6’5”, 200lbs | 2023 Once you watch Dorman throw, it quickly becomes obvious as to why the Arizona commit is the number one-ranked 2023 QB in the state and one of the top-ranked QBs in the country. The TFG QB has the ability to break down and identify coverages then make a quick read is extremely impressive. He has a huge arm with a smooth throwing motion and impeccable ball placement. Dorman is an exciting player to watch whenever he steps on the field. [embed]https://twitter.com/brayden_dorman/status/1496303826932011011?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="22741" first="Kaiden" last="Box"] | Skyline | 6’4”, 195lbs | 2023 Box is the backup QB for TFG’s 18U team, but that does not mean that he is anything less than phenomenal. He has a big-time arm that allows for him to drop bombs on target or rifle passes into tight windows with great accuracy. One thing that immediately stands out about him, besides his physical stature and huge arm, is how quick he comes out of his drops. This allows for him to get his feet underneath him and set them a half-second quicker than average. Box has an incredible upside to his potential, making him a serious sleeper as a shot caller. [embed]https://twitter.com/BoxKaiden/status/1498154755935260672?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="143623" first="Blake" last="Palladino"] | Dakota Ridge | 6’3”, 195lbs | 2024 Palladino is one of the QBs for Ducks7v7 who has built quite a reputation for himself over the past year. His deep ball is a strong testament to the power in his arm. Not only does he favor the deep throw, but he also has a knack for putting up 50/50 balls in situations where he knows his WRs have favorable matchups. Palladino can drive the ball down the field through the air with confidence and precision, earning him the spotlight with every passing attempt. [embed]https://twitter.com/PalladinoBlake/status/1496869260072681479?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="147556" first="Rowan" last="Risner"] | Fairview | 6’1”, 180lbs | 2024 Risner is an under-the-radar player strictly because of circumstance; however, he has been getting serious shine as a Ducks7v7 QB. He has great strength in his arm and the ability to throw receivers open. His footwork is smooth and his ability to go through his progressions and make any throw on any level is very impressive. Risner is one varsity start away from claiming real estate among the top QBs in his class. [embed]https://twitter.com/EA_Abeyta/status/1498127713478930433?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="152282" first="Cameron" last="Cooper"] | Pine Creek | 6’0, 183lbs | 2025 Cooper is a flashy playmaker for TFG who checks all of the boxes of a future star. He is a young player with a powerful arm and the capability of putting the ball in spots that allow for his receivers to go up and make plays. He is an extremely competitive QB with a solid throwing motion and snappy release. Cooper is a talented player who is on his way to becoming one of the top QB prospects in the state. [embed]https://twitter.com/TeamFullGorilla/status/1489995727652540417?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] [player_tooltip player_id="276509" first="Karson" last="Rash"] | University | 6’4”, 170lbs | 2025 Rash is a young QB who is popping onto the scene by putting in work with Ducks7v7. His drop steps are fluid and he has a smooth throwing motion. He possesses the ability to float balls on target for receivers to be able to run underneath and make catches in stride. Rash is a player whose name is worth circling to keep an eye on as he continues to progress as a QB. [embed]https://twitter.com/KarsonRash/status/1496558027289534466?s=20&t=8z8y5dg8dcTNhVrkCb0G_A[/embed] Tevin Stokes | Chaparral | 2026 Stokes is a radar pop-up who will be entering his freshman year this fall. The young gunslinger was turning heads while getting reps with TFG’s younger squad. He has impressive strength in his arm, especially when making short to intermediate throws. Stokes showed a solid understanding of coverages by making the proper pre-snap reads and exploiting coverages.
