The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future.
By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team.
Below, we’ll take a look at class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as running back and tight end prospects, that are currently on the Watch List.

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Edwards runs with good pad level and gets north and south in a hurry. He doesn’t shy away from contact and always falls forward for extra yardage. He runs hard and uses a good stiff arm to keep space from defenders. Works incredibly hard in the weight room. Strong kid.</span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-296920 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/03/SeanJones-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212232" first="Sean" last="Jones"] | Running Back </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Jones already holds an offer from Kanas and will continue to add more as he continues to develop. He’s a north-south runner who has the quickness to also beat you to the edge. He’s versatile in the fact that he shows above-average pass-catching ability out of the backfield. Already has a reported offer from Kansas.</span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-297144 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/03/Claudio-Christian-Magallon-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283602" first="Claudio" last="Christian Magallon"] | Running Back </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5-foot-8, 145-pound Magallon is a versatile back who is has a low center of gravity. He’s likely an all-purpose back in the long run but he’s got good top-end speed and explosiveness and is a capable pass-catcher. </span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-297157 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/03/KeltonStrickland-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283636" first="Kelton" last="Strickland"] | Running Back </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5-foot-10, 160-pound Strickland has great vision and cut-back ability. He runs through the hole hard and keeps his feet moving through contact. He’s a homerun threat especially if he gets into the open field as he has great pull-away speed. </span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-254208 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/12/Silhouette-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="212223" first="Jerod" last="Terry"] | Running Back </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Terry shows good patience when running with the ball as he often follows his lineman. He’s got the speed to get the edge and showcases strong receiving ability out of the backfield. He’s shifty and fluid and tough to bring down at times. </span>
<b>[<img class="alignleft wp-image-254208 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/12/Silhouette-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />player_tooltip player_id="283620" first="James" last="Kuenstler"] | Tight End </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Kuenstler has great size for a kid his age. He shows good body control at the line of scrimmage and does a good job keeping opposing defensive ends from setting the edge. </span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-297162 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2022/03/ZionScrivens-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283695" first="Zion" last="Scrivens"] | Tight End </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Scrivens is mostly used as a blocking tight end because of his strong base and quick feet. He plays hard and with intensity and is a willing blocker who helps set the edge for the Buckeye’s offense. </span>
<b><img class="alignleft wp-image-254208 size-thumbnail" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/redzone/uploads/2021/12/Silhouette-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" />[player_tooltip player_id="283680" first="Montana" last="Toilolo"] | Tight End </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Toilolo is another prospect who has the physical attributes of a big-time tight end. He’s got the strength and size and showcases good hangs and catch radius. </span>
