The Prep RedZone Next class of 2026 Watch List Vol. 2 was recently released. This is a list of prospects, not yet in high school, that look to project to play at the FBS/FCS/Division 2 levels in the future.
By no means is this list a sure thing, finalized or complete. It will be updated twice more before the end of August 2022. Again, these are not rankings nor are they an end-all, be-all lists. These are the prospects that we have seen, that stand out to our team.
Below, we’ll take a look at Part 1 of the class of 2026 California prospects, labeled as linebacker prospects, that are currently on the Watch List.

Bowman plays great in space as he shows good timing and explosion. He’s a natural striker with good pop behind his pads and has the power to run through most offensive linemen. Young brother of Stanford wide receiver, Colby Bowman.

The 6-foot, 195-pound linebacker is extremely active and moves well from sideline to sideline. He has a good understanding and feel for the game as he does a good job with coverage in space. Very strong kid, works hard in the weight room.
[player_tooltip player_id="283618" first="Jackson" last="Campbell"] | Linebacker
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound Campbell gets downhill in a hurry and does a nice job commanding the center of the defense. He’s got the athleticism to run down plays from behind and is a sideline to sideline player who is comfortable dropping into coverage. Athletic kid who plays receiver on offense.
[player_tooltip player_id="283606" first="Dash" last="Fifita"] | Linebacker
The brother of Arizona quarterback commit [player_tooltip player_id="25286" first="Noah" last="Fifita"], Dash easily tracks down plays in pursuit and makes tackles behind the line of scrimmage at a high rate. He shows the ability to play well in space and could end up as a hybrid box linebacker/safety type depending on how he grows.
[player_tooltip player_id="283686" first="Talanoa" last="Ili"] | Linebacker
The 6-foot-3, 195-pound linebacker has great size and moves very well for a prospect his age. He’s got loose hips and is a natural in coverage with good ball skills. He’s comfortable operating in space and is a headache to block off the edge. He's going to be a very good prospect.
Chuck Roberts Jr. | Linebacker
The 6-foot, 195-pound Roberts is a heavy hitter who isn’t afraid to stick his nose into a ball carrier. He’s a sure tackler who has good size and the room to add more mass in the coming years.
